Exercises for Good Posture.
The animal walk involves having your child walk like familiar animals (like a bear, frog, or giraffe); they are essential in occupational therapy, as they allow children to have fun while developing their gross motor skills. Gross motor development is crucial for many things, like sitting up properly and performing tasks that require precision and stability (such as writing, using scissors, tying your
shoes, riding a bike, or doing up your jacket). We have lots of laughs in store for you!

Welcome to my world! The împortant thîng to remember îs that, în the word ï’m showîng you here, you shoud aways have ‘‘ un whîe earnîng, no matter how od you are! ï you agree to that, ï promîse you’ have ots o un wîth your chîd or students. sensorimotor development Thîs book was deveoped to oster chîdren’s , whîch îs the oundatîon o theîr overa deveopment. Sensory deveopment îs comparabe to the concrete oundatîon o a house. For exampe, î your vîsîon deterîorates, a your daîy tasks wî become more dîIcut, and thîs wî afect your îndependence. You’ want ony one thîng: to quîcky sove thîs probem. Motor deveopment îs comparabe to the house’s rame, whîch îs buît on the concrete oundatîon. The oundatîon o the house must be soîd so the rame can support the was, loors, and roo (or exampe, attentîon, organîzatîon, wrîtîng, readîng, and mathematîcs). As a resut, proper stabîîty îs crucîa to preventîng the was rom crackîng, the loors rom creakîng, and the roo rom eakîng!
The anîma waks hep to soîdîy the concrete oundatîon and rame o your chîd’s house by havîng your chîd use dîferent senses and deveop hîspostural control* (good p osture), motor planning*, anddissociation*, and as we as thestabilityo hîs upper* andlowerîmbs*, whîch are some o the undamentas or tasks that requîre precîsîon (îke wrîtîng, usîng scîssors, tyîng your shoes, rîdîng a bîke, or doîng up your jacket).
ït’s aso împortant to get chîdren movîng, as ît’s a natura need or them. The anîma waks are a good way to satîsy thîs need în an enjoyabe way. Have un! ‘‘ ValÉrie kempa Occupatîona Therapîst

Your chîd moves orward on a ours. Pace a cushîon on hîs back to mîmîc a turte she. He’ have to move sowy—îke a turte—to make sure the cushîon doesn’t a. Your chîd shoud compete thîs exercîse on a smooth surace (banket or mat) to prevent rîctîon between the skîn and the loor.
To make the activity more fun Have your turte stretch out hîs egs, one at a tîme (rîght arm, et arm, rîght eg, et eg) wîthout osîng hîs she!
Important Your chîd must keep hîs back straîght.
