Hi Trish,
I hope you are having a nice summer. You must be excited about your visit
to Australia. I am excited too, because tomorrow, I am going to London with
my host family to watch England play Ireland in rugby. The game is part
of the Six Nations Championship1 .
Everyone in the family is a big rugby fan. They have been telling me all about it.
The game is on at Twickenham Stadium. It is known as the home of rugby
union. It has a long and important history, and a capacity of 82,000.
Tickets to tomorrow’s game are sold out, so the stadium will be full.
Everyone says that the atmosphere at the game will be electric. Both teams have
very passionate fans. England won the championship last year, and has won it 28
times in total. Ireland has won it 12 times. The game will start at 2.45pm and have
two halves, of 40 minutes each. If you watch it on TV, look for me,
with my England flag!
And how are you? What are you planning to do in Australia? I know the
Commonwealth Games are on there in April. Do you think you will go to them?
