The science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials has selected and implementedcredit360's sustainability data management system to gather, analyse and communicate company-wide environmental data.

Sustainability is an important and integral part of the DSM Strategy. KPIs on energy efficiency and greenhouse gases are at the highest level in the organisation. Environmental data, so-called 'Planet Data', have been part of the DSM People, Planet, Profit (Triple P) Report since the early 1990s. Over the past two years, this information has been presented together with financial data in the company's integrated annual report, underlining DSM 's commitment to sustainability performance.

credit360's web-based sustainability solution is being implemented across the entire DSM business to collect data from over 110 sites in over 40 countries. Environmental data are gathered right down at the production line level to distinguish between multiple business groups operating in a single site. Thecredit360system aggregates this data for efficient reporting by either geography or business group.

DSM's carbon footprint will be calculated usingcredit360's Carbon Disclosure Project (Gold Standard) accredited system, which includes a library of emission factors and also provides the flexibility to maintain com pany specific factors down at the individual site level where required.
