- TMS' On® Entertainment Metadata Will Power Entertainment Guides Offered by SKYBrasil to Its Fast-Growing Subscriber Base CHICAGO,July 31, 2012/PRNewswire/ -- Tribune Media Services (TMS), the leading provider of entertainment metadata, and SKY Brasil, the largest satellite TV operator inBrazil, have announced a new agreement under which TMS' best-in-class On Entertainment metadata will be used in the entertainment guides offered by SKY Brasil to its fast-growing subscriber base.
SKY Brasil, the premier pay TV brand inBrazil, reaches more than 4 million subscribers, approximately 30% of all pay TV subscribers in the country. By providing superior guides powered by TMS entertainment information, images, TV Showcards and discovery capabilities, SKY Brasil will increase consumption of its various program offerings among existing subscribers and attract new subscribers. While TMS currently provides extensive entertainment information to customers around the globe, this marks the first time its next-generation On Entertainment metadata is being used in the flourishing Brazilian market. Earlier in July, TMS and DIRECTV Latin America announced an agreement under which On metadata will power the entertainment guides offered by DIRECTV Latin America to its PanAmericana subscribers inColombia,Argentina, Venezuela,Chile, theCaribbean,Peru,Puerto Rico,UruguayandEcuador.
