THE GLOBAL INTERNSHIP AGREEMENT MBA in Global Management Graduate Management Studies Nathan Weiss Graduate College Kean Hall 225 Kean University 1000 Morris Avenue Union, New Jersey 07083 Tel: (908) 7377120 Global Internship I and II: GMBA 5760 and 5761 We the undersigned, representing the MBA in Global Management Program (“Global MBA”, hereafter) of
the Graduate Management Studies Department at Kean University (the “University”, hereafter), the
organization listed below and the student intern identified below agree to participate in the Global
Internship of the Management Program and abide by the course requirements and procedures laid down in
the Global Internship I course syllabus (see course syllabus attachment) and other requirements consistent
with Kean University regulations.
Each of the undersigned shall retain a copy of this agreement. Responsibilities of each of the undersigned
are presented in detail immediately after the summary information and signatures below.

Student Responsibilities
The student intern will:
Terms of the Global Internship Agreement
Perform tasks consistent with the job or internship responsibilities offered by the participating
organization and approved by the GMBA Faculty Internship Supervisor.
Perform the assigned responsibilities for at least one hundred and fifty (150) hours during the
designated semester or semesters the intern is duly registered for the internship.
Complete all required forms and reports on dates required by the Global MBA faculty supervisor
and/or the internship supervisor in the host organization.
Complete all projects and programs required by the host organization.
Keep a daily or weekly log, which ever is appropriate, of hours and activities pertaining to the
internship, to track time spent and tasks performed on the internship.
Follow all rules, responsibilities and regulations of the host organization
Present a professional image with respect to attendance, appointments, dress and general conduct
and interaction with supervisors and peers on the job.
Submit orally or in writing an interim progress report within the first three business days or 15
hours of the internship to the faculty supervisor to determine whether the internship expectations
are being met and whether the internship should proceed as planned.
Submit a final report on the internship, as stipulated by the Global Internship course syllabus.
Submit a written evaluation of the student’s experience in the internship..
At the discretion of the student intern, the internship supervisor in the organization and the GMBA
faculty supervisor, the internship may be terminated due to just cause, as defined by the signatories
to this agreement, in oral or written consultations with each other.
Responsibilities of the Participating Organization

The organization will:
Submit to the student a formal offer letter outlining the goals and job responsibilities of the
internship.
Assign a supervisor in a managerial position to supervise and evaluate the student intern.
Provide the student with an orientation to the organization and to the assigned department or
program in which the student will undertake the internship.
Provide the intern with adequate time and the necessary organizational resources to perform the
internship successfully.
Notify The Global MBA faculty supervisor of any problems or issues pertaining to the internship
or other matters that require the immediate attention of the GMBA and Kean University, the
organization and the student.
Provide an evaluation of the student’s overall performance in the internship. The organization
supervisor may present an interim oral or written evaluation of the student at any time deemed
appropriate by the supervisor in the course of the internship.
Provide the Global MBA in advance or at any time during the internship with any other
information and material required to assist the GMBA faculty in preparing a student for the global
internship experience.
Responsibilities of the MBA in Management Program and Kean University
The GMBA and Kean University will:

Designate a faculty member to supervise the student and work in cooperation with the organization
supervisor.
Maintain a line of communication, through the faculty supervisor, between the organization and the
University throughout the internship.
Provide the student the required forms, information and academic resources necessary for the
student to complete the global internship.
Require the student to keep accurate records of the internship experience and to submit a final
report, as indicated in the global internship course syllabus.
Provide the organization with advance notice and retain the right, when the GMBA and the
University find it necessary, to call the student in for conferences or consultation or for other
academic reasons.
Retain the right to remove the student from the organization when the University deems it
detrimental to allow the student to remain at the organization, or upon the requext of the
organization.
Review all reports and evaluations of the student’s performance and reviews on the internship and
assign a grade after the completion of all required hours and projects.
STUDENT LOG
A student intern must maintain a daily or weekly time log, whichever is appropriate.  5
