Objectives:neuGridams o depoy a ‘Servce Orened Arcecure’ (SOA, see Igure) o medae beween user appcaons, e backend sysem and oer sysems roug e Grd. Funconaes are soaed and er neraces are we deIned, producng servces sued o adapaby, re-use and scaaby. he servce arcecure w pursue e oowng objecves: • Atthe highest level, user-facing services are aimed to satisfy application (corti- ca ckness exracon) doman requremens, aoug w a vew o make as many o em as possbe amed a a generc medca doman, ncreasng er cances o beng reused n a aer projec. • Atthe lower level, grid-facing services are formed rom prevousy avaabe sotware componens, are Grd-knowedgeabe and provde e nerace o e seeced Grd sotware (expeced o be EGEE/gLe). hese provde vrua Ie sysem access, mappng ex- sng daa avaabe n e sysem o a common - erarcy a oer cenres may access, and job and query submsson uncons. • Betweenthese two layers there is a set of generic medical services including query servces, mage andng servces and reposory servces, provdng e uncon- ay a spans re-usabe medca appcaons ndependen o e underyng n- rasrucure (grd-agnosc).
