Xarelto what is it? And Xarelto Complications
What is Xarelto?
Xarelto(rivaroxaban) is one of the latest anti-coagulation, or blood thinning, medications approved for use
by the FDA. The drug is an oral medication developed by Bayer and Johnson & Johnson. Blood thinning
medication works by preventing dangerous blood clots that can move throughout the body and cause an
obstruction of blood flow to the vital organs. The older anti-coagulation medications require a physician to prescribe a precise dose for each patient leading to extensive monitoring. Xarelto is a new type of anti-coagulant that is prescribed in one uniform dose making it an attractive alternative for both patients and doctors.
Xarelto Complications and Xarelto Risks
Did you take Xarelto and develop uncontrolled bleeding or another serious complication listed below?
Internal Bleeding
Blood Clots
Embolism
Haemorrhaging
Top of Form Bottom of Form Xarelto and Uncontrolled Bleeding
One of the most dangerous side effects of Xarelto is bleeding. There is no antidote to stop the bleeding, unlike Warfare, which makes treating patients incredibly challenging. The manufacturer of Xarelto has yet to release information to doctors on how the problem should be treated. Without this crucial knowledge the number of deaths in the emergency room will continue to rise.
Xarelto has many other serious side effects. The FDA reports that some patients may actually develop an increased risk for blood clots when taking the medication. According to the Institute for Safe Medication Practices, patients who have undergone hip or knee replacement surgery are at the highest risk for developing blood clots. These blood clots can travel to the brain and cause a heart attack or stroke. Patients that have had spinal injections are also at risk of developing blood clots in the spine, which can lead to permanent paralysis..

Expert Discusses Why People Are FilingXarelto Lawsuits
Patients that are prescribed older blood thinners such as Wayfaring are required to have routine blood tests done as well as continuous adjustments made to their dosage. This constant interaction with a physician can be costly and time consuming making Xarelto an appealing option because the dose is the same for everyone and routine blood tests are not needed. Unfortunately, the lack of physician involvement makes Xarelto a very dangerous medication. Ellen Relkin, a lawyer representing legal claims against Xarelto, states the problems associated with the medication are due to a low therapeutic index.

Damaging Evidence Exposed in Xarelto Lawsuit:
Were Janssen and Bayer Corrupt or Lazy?
In November of 2011 the FDA approved the use of a new anti-coagulation medication used in patients suffering from atrial fibrillation (AF). Atrial fibrillation is a condition that causes palpitations and an irregular heartbeat. There is an increased risk in heart disease as well as strokes in patients suffering from AF. In January of 2012, William Packard, a patient suffering from (AF), made an appointment with his physician regarding the use of the latest medication. Mr. Packard’s physician believed the new medication would be more successful than the old treatment because it did not require the patient to go through the extensive monitoring he had previously endured. Within six months of taking the medication, William Packard began suffering from headaches and various episodes of confusion. He was promptly admitted to a hospital where he was diagnosed with subdural haemorrhaging, which is where bleeding occurs outside of the brain. Although emergency surgical attempts were made to inhibit the bleeding, William Packard was pronounced dead only five days after being admitted.
