This book is about revelation, poetry as something that can reveal that presence inside the heart or emotions waiting to be found, It is always searching for that Haiku moment. Searching for those words that allow the dive into the depth of the heart to there find presence, insight and another way of looking at and for the hidden. The window through which much of this is seen and written has had its inspiration in writings such as the Mundaka Upanisad: “Bright but hidden, the Self dwells in the Heart. Everything that moves and breathes lives in the Self.”
From the poem The Heart’s Door:
Into the vortex toward door he’s lead
The heart pulsates rhythms as it opens
In hearts chamber pineal and amrita wed
As the dwller is found, the hidden chosen
May you touch that Haiku moment on the way to Satori.

When words come together to create a symbol which fragrance can touch the depths of your being and inspire the heart, that is poetry.
When words gather in symbiotic harmony, so as to uncover the deepest essence of a written language that is poetry.
When words are bound into a chain and a hook that has the power to capture our emotions, these are the words of poetry.
This book is true poetry, it is fashioned by the hands, heart and Soul of Allen Funnye.
Allen Funnye is a creative architect who designs majestic edifices built with words.
Most of us can speak, write and hear words; however, rare are those who can build a vessel with words and take us on a journey with those words.
Allen has dedicated a great part of his poetic gift to bring inspiration and beauty into a world besieged by anxiety, fear and uncertainty.
Now, more than ever before, love expressed through poetry is the remedy that we need. Thank you, Allen Funnye.

Preface
In ecstatic poetry, the yearning, burning desire to experience God is so deep, rich and impassioned, it leaves us without words.
That which it seeks and of which it speaks, is too great to be encapsulated in words. Still, in the experience of being human, words help us express the rapture of being touched, if only for a moment, by God.
The poetry of Hafiz, Rumi and Tagore all contain this divine timbre. Now comes the poetry of Dr. Allen Funnyé. When you turn from this preface and step into the heavenly seas of Funnyés poetry, you will instantly appreciate the name association with poets of great renown he is herein being accorded.
In certain circumstances, it is invidious to compare. One would not compare Archangel Gabriel with Archangel Michael for example, to see which one is greater. Nor will I seek to compare the world’s great ecstatic poets with this current volume from Allen Funnye. Let it suffice to say that the hand of God is seen and felt in the verses you are about to experience. While words fail to express the Supreme Ultimate Divine, I humbly invite you to drink from the Fountainhead that shimmers throughout these pages, and experience the bliss that comes from direct contact with the Most High.
