INTRODUCTION
More poetry from Kenneth R Stephens. A native American “half breed” Indian child chooses loyalty to his adopted white parents over his need to find his birth mother and her American Indian tribe.

The resulting discovery after the passing of his adopted mother proves that secrets wont stay buried forever.

The first book called SNAPSHOTS IN TIME, revealed the original writings of poetry starting in high school. REFLECTIONS IN TIME produced a more refined set of works which began in the first book.

This book speaks without apology to issues touching many Americans and people around the world.

LETTER TO MY BIRTH MOTHER
DEAR MOTHER
I don’t know why you left me,
but I am sure you had a good reason.
The people you left me with were good people.
I want you to know
I always did my best in life.
I did not always succeed
but I always tried.
For every success that I did have
you had a part.
I have nothing else to say
except I love you.

POETRY FOR MY ADOPTED PARENTS

RACHEL’S POEM
FOR RACHEL JOHNSON STEPHENS

DEDICATED TO MY MOTHER. THE ONE WHO DID THE JOB.

A mother’s love is stronger than iron.
A mother’s love is worth more than fine gold.

The sacrifices of a mother can never be repaid.
Not unless one sacrifices oneself the same way.

A mother’s love is the highest honor
one can receive.

No other honor is worthy to compare,
no other honor can one conceive.

A mother is a gift from God, you see.
A precious gift to unlock,
and love is the key!

Kenneth R. Stephens
