I believe that happiness is in abundance inside of me right now.

No matter how much I sometimes feel that people or other external factors are responsible for my happiness, no one can make me happy except myself. Only I can truly make myself happy and satisfied. Only I can create my own success. I recognize that all of the necessary elements come from within me.

I believe that pettiness is unnecessary.

When I get caught up in small things, I lead a small life. My joys and rewards, if any, are small. I elevate what doesn’t matter and distract myself from dealing with what is of most value to me. I offend others unnecessarily and am, in turn, offended unnecessarily. Pettiness leads to nothing of value. I decide right now to rise above it.
