Praise for Invincible
“Are you having difficulty believing you are a conqueror in Jesus Christ? In Invincible you will be encouraged to face the big mountains in your life and learn to live a life of boldness for God. You will benefit significantly from Dr. Jeffress’s biblical insights on how to overcome doubt, guilt, anxiety, discouragement, fear, bitterness, materialism, loneliness, lust, and grief that are ravishing your life.”
Jason Jimenez , founder of Stand Strong Ministries and bestselling author of Challenging Conversations
“There is often pressure in church to act as if you have it all together. ‘Don’t bring your doubt, anxiety, fear, or guilt in this place!’ Invincible pushes back against this kind of phony faith and gives us the freedom to acknowledge our struggles. With humor, compassion, and practical advice, Dr. Jeffress provides a way to overcome the mountains we all face and encourage one another on our faith journey. This book is for real people who want real change.”
Michael C. Sherrard , pastor and author of Why You Matter
Praise for Courageous
“With all the uncertainty in our world right now, this new book by my friend Robert Jeffress is a welcome encouragement for believers. His Bible-based tips on thriving during challenging times are not only practical and easy to understand but will help you to stand strong in your faith and live victoriously.”
Robert Morris , founding and lead senior pastor of Gateway Church and bestselling author of The Blessed Life , Frequency , and Beyond Blessed
“When it comes to living out biblical principles, we quickly discover we’re in an unfriendly culture. Ephesians 5:11 tells us to ‘Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness,’ so how then do we build bridges to skeptics and cynics? How do we win wicked people with antagonistic agendas to the side of our Savior? In his remarkable new book, Courageous: 10 Strategies for Thriving in a Hostile World , Dr. Jeffress shows us page-by-page how to live as winsome and effective ambassadors for Jesus Christ, all so that the perishing will come to salvation and God will receive the glory! I give this book a double thumbs-up!”
Joni Eareckson Tada , Joni and Friends International Disability Center
“No book title ever fit its author’s personality better than this one. One of the words I often use to describe Robert Jeffress is courageous . As a former pastor of First Baptist in Dallas, I have been privileged to watch time and again his courageous yet loving leadership in daily action. This book is not some self-help treatise. These principles have been beaten out on the anvil of the author’s own personal and practical experience. Read it . . . and reap!
O. S. Hawkins , former pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas and author of the bestselling Code series of Christian devotionals
“My friend Robert Jeffress has demonstrated courage time and again by boldly preaching God’s Word in the pulpit and answering tough critics in the media. In these pages, he outlines practical survival strategies that will help us courageously navigate the storms of life. Through powerful biblical examples and present-day testimonies, Robert reminds us that the wisdom and supernatural ability God has provided us as believers are more than enough to defeat the enemy’s strategy.”
James Robison , founder and president of LIFE Outreach International, Fort Worth, Texas
Praise for Choosing the Extraordinary Life
“Biblical, relevant, and very straightforward. Dr. Jeffress has written a remarkable and on-time book about the seven secrets to ‘finding, keeping, and living’ an extraordinary life. His unique approach and practical insights will guide you on a new and fresh journey, leading you away from any distractions that would keep you from intimacy and favor with your loving heavenly Father.”
Marcus D. Lamb , founder and president of Daystar Television Network
“Dr. Jeffress brings Scripture alive with the truth God’s Spirit put into it. If you like rich, useful Bible teaching, you’ll appreciate this book. Jeffress wisely unpacks seven secrets from Elijah’s life and ministry for leading the life we were meant to live. No formulas or pat answers here. Depend on this book to guide you on the narrow road that leads to life.”
Dr. Larry Crabb , psychologist, Bible teacher, and author of When God’ s Ways Make No Sense
“We love this book! It’s a must-read for every Christian. Thank you, Dr. Jeffress, for inspiring and challenging us to rise above the status quo of this world. Choosing the Extraordinary Life is one of those books that’s honest, motivating, and life-changing. If you want to live a life that’s truly worth living, the seven secrets inside this book will show you how. Your life will never be the same again.”
Kristen Clark and Bethany Baird , cofounders of GirlDefined Ministries and authors of Girl Defined and Love Defined

M OUNTAIN CLIMBING requires teamwork. Mountaineers generally link together with a safety rope and help one another across challenging terrain. To summit a mountain, a team of climbers, logistics managers, and porters must all work together to achieve their goal. The success of any mountain climbing expedition depends entirely on the team.
The same is true when it comes to conquering the mountain of writing a book. Any book that completes the journey from an idea to the printed page is a result of the cooperation, support, and expertise of a successful team. That’s why I’m eternally grateful for the exceptionally talented team God has given me:
Brian Vos, Mark Rice, Brianna DeWitt, Lindsey Spoolstra, and the rest of the team at Baker Books, the best publishing partner I’ve ever worked with.
Derrick G. Jeter, creative director of Pathway to Victory, and Jennifer Stair, who diligently assisted in crafting and polishing the message of this book.
Sealy Yates, my literary agent and friend, whose wise counsel and consistent encouragement have helped me for more than two decades.
Carrilyn Baker, my extraordinary executive associate, who expertly coordinates the complicated work of our office with a joyful spirit. And thank you, Mary Shafer, for tirelessly assisting Carrilyn and me in so many ways!
Ben Lovvorn, executive pastor of First Baptist Church, Dallas, and Nate Curtis, Patrick Heatherington, Ben Bugg, and the entire Pathway to Victory team, who extend the message of this book to millions of people around the world.
I’m deeply grateful for the support I receive every day from my greatest team—my family. God has blessed me with two wonderful daughters, Julia and Dorothy, a great son-in-law, Ryan Sadler, and my beloved triplet grandchildren, Barrett, Blake, and Blair.
And at the very top of the list of people who have helped me conquer mountains and provided consistent support and encouragement is my wife of forty-five years, Amy. Thank you for your unconditional love. You are God’s greatest blessing of goodness and grace.
