Her Excellency
A few days before the ultimatum deadline imposed by the GIC Madagascar, we turn to
you with respect but also with concern to solicit your authority and your sense of justice. And it
is also with real values of freedom and democracy that inspires us, that we would like to make
this call before it is too late.

There is no longer need to report the details and reasons why Madagascar became the
poorest country of the world, since the famous March 2009, when Andry Rajoelina took power
by force and compelled the elected President Marc Ravalomanana to exile in South Africa since
that time.

Presidential elections were scheduled for 24 July 2013, according to a schedule
established jointly with the International Community. The Special Electoral Court has validated
the candidacy of Ms. Lalao Ravalomanana as the 41 other candidates.

 By which principle can someone blame a person for being absent from her country if she was
prevented from returning using technical notice (Notam), to subject her to deportation
forcibly by border police?

 Since when bear the name of her husband is treated as a blame that makes lose her rights as
citizen?

 What is the moral value of a judgement which considers that visiting her ailing mother
becomes a prohibition to have concerns for the future of her country.

 Besides the negative comments about her for being a woman, Mrs. Lalao Ravalomanana is
subject of an illegitimate cabal policy from the GIC-M.

These four years of crisis have taught Malagasy the existence of power stakes and that their
country arouses greeds. But it is unacceptable that these considerations can make them the
wretched of the earth in the modern era.

Madam President, all Africans are honoured to have you at the head of the largest
organization of the continent, such as possibility to choose freely Mrs. Lalao Ravalomanana will
be for the Malagasy people an opportunity to regain his pride.

Given your background, we are confident that you are on the side of the people to support
them to write themselves their own history. We firmly believe that your role as head of the AU
Commission is an irreversible step toward the affirmation of African in the management of their
own affairs.

Her Excellency, Madam President, we are convinced that you will defend the Malagasy people’s
right, please accept our most distinguished regards.
