Nation Reveals Favourite "Red" Moments
PR Newswire
LONDON, July 9, 2012
LONDON

/PRNewswire/ --
Starburst FaveReds promotion sees Asda shoppers around the country share
their funniest and most embarrassing moments.
As part of a campaign to find the nation's favourite Red Starburst flavour, Asda
and Wrigley asked Asda Shoppers to share their best "Red" moment story -
anything from a romantic gesture to an embarrassing mistake, or something
that simply had people laughing until they were red in the face.
After voting, the top 50 stories were announced on Asda radio this week, and
they certainly don't disappoint in the comedy stakes...
A woman from
London
told how she was looking at houses in the window of an
estate agent with her boyfriend. Thinking he was walking away she grabbed his
hand saying, "I quite liked that three bedroom one and if we had kids it would
be perfect, but I'm not sure about the area." The man laughed: "And I'm not
sure about kids." When she turned round to look at him she realised in horror
that she'd grabbed a stranger's hand.
In another entry, a man from
Scotland
told how his wife inadvertently bared all
to a bemused builder, when he walked in on her while she was grabbing a
shower in a house that was being renovated. "Just as the builder opened the
bathroom door on my wife, naked in the shower, she promptly covered her
eyes instead of her body - much to the enjoyment of the workman," he said.
Meanwhile, a lady from
Cheltenham
explained how she was left red-faced at
her new job in a sports shop. Her previous job had been in a fruit shop, where
she was often asked for a box for people to carry out their shopping. On her
first day in her new job, you can imagine her manager's horror when a man
sheepishly asked her for a box. She went out the back and handed him a
cardboard box… the manager took over and handed him a cricket box.
With over 800 entries from around the UK, Starbust FaveRed stories can be
organised by location to create locally relevant stories, such as "
Wales
is the UK
capital of romance", "Kids from
Birmingham
are the funniest", or by theme, for
example "Brits in kitchen chaos", "Wardrobe Malfunctions".
Starburst FaveReds are available now exclusively in Asda stores.
