T.I.G.C.NEWSLETTER April 11, 2009 Founded June, 1979 WELCOME The Tahoe Incline Golf Club Board of Directors would like to welcome all of you to the 2009 golf season! For returning members and new members alike, the Board has put together a social and golf calendar that we hope all of you will enjoy. Our tournament schedule consists of an opening/closing scramble, member/member, member/guest, 4 man 2 best ball, TIGC/Teesters (a friendly competition) and TIGC/IVGC ( this year we’ll play from the same tees and whoop ‘em).We now have eight Wednesday midweek events, each with a little different format. We will be sharing the course with other clubs so pace of play (4 1/2 hours) is important. All of our tournaments include a senior division, and we have also scheduled a midweek senior event. We welcome our new members and invite them to play in the first Wednesday midweek where they can meet other club members. This season, we have changed the location for some of our social events. The location will be part of the event instructions. The social schedule includes the opening and closing dinners and the midsummer BBQ with guests. Be sure to sign up for the events of interest early as space will be limited! We are very excited about our new website! With it, you will be able to sign up for tournaments, midweeks and tee times online; as well as, keep up with club news, upcoming events and tournament results. Check the site often. Feel free to browse the site and give us your feedback. Check the next section of the club newsletter for website instructions. TIGC WEBSITE  REGISTER & LOG IN

To start using the website you must first register and give yourself a user ID and a password. This registration process is to be done only once! Thereafter you will use your ID and password to login. To register or to login  open the website at http://www.golffusion.com/tahoeinclinegolfclub/start_page.php?type=h. Click on Member Loginas shown.

The next page will allow you to enter your user ID & password or your registration information. If this is the first time you are using the website, you must Register. Enter you GHIN # and click on Registration: Existing Members. REGISTER ONLY ONCE!

The next page that opens after registering asks for optional Member Profile information. Enter what you like and click Submit. Below that is Favorite Golf Story.DO NOT ENTER ANYTHING HERE. LOGOUT when your done. The next section deals with using the website. Keep reading.

TIGC WEBSITE  HOME PAGE  MENUS & BUTTONS

Now that you have Registered you can Login normally from the home page. Click on Member Login or any Log In button you see. Enter your User ID and Password then press Enter or click on Log In. The next page to open is the club's Home Page.

MENUS Under the Golf Course Photos you will see "Home", "Club Information", "Tournaments" and "Post Scores/Stats". These are themenus. Point to them and a box drops down that contains various submenus. Point to the submenu that you want and click for information about that topic. "Home"  Home Page  brings you back to the member home page (see above screen shot).  Golf Links  you can select a link to popular golf websites such as NCGA "Club Information"  About Us  Information about TIGC. Also notice the flyout "Club Rules"  Club Rules  Specific rules for our club members such as "handicap flag policy"  Club Roster  A roster of TIGC members and contact information  Event Calendar  A calendar view of the TIGC tee times, tournaments and social events.  Update Member Info  Allows you to change your personal and contact information  Newsletter  Displays the club Newsletter  Board Members  Lists the Board Members and contact information  Scorecards  An image of our scorecard "Tournaments"  Up Coming Tournaments  A complete list of TIGC tee times, tournaments and social events

TIGC WEBSITE  SIGN UP FOR AN EVENT

This is probably the section of most interest. How do you sign up for events. There are two views: the first is a calendar view; the second is a list or table view. To get the calendar view, click on the "Events Calendar" button or select the menu item "Club Information | Events Calendar". You will see the following page. Select the month and click on the event you want. This takes you to the sign up page. EVENT CALENDAR VIEW

To get the Table view, click on the "Event Registration" button or select the menu item "Tournaments | Upcoming Tournaments". You will see the following page. You will notice that the table view gives you more information about the event such as the size of the field , the number signed up , the date signups can start and the deadline for signups. Click on the event you want. This takes you to the sign up page. EVENT TABLE VIEW
