I NTRODUCTION
Minecraft is a virtual world with limitless possibilities. Blocks can be combined and built into practically all the structures and devices you can think of. While the world in itself is exciting to most gamers, things could get boring. As such, some gamers have started developing tools and devices and explored worlds that are quite different from the usual gameplay.
This exclusive 2 in 1 edition ebook offers 70 exciting seeds and 70 redstone ideas for Minecraft s avid gamers. The seeds will spawn you into places bizarre and challenging. If you need devices for survival or for prank, the redstone ideas listed are perfect.

The first part of this exclusive edition is about seeds. In order to create a world, MineCraft uses seeds for the algorithm of its world generator engine. The seeds are made up of 32 alphanumeric characters, thus, the number of seed is next to unlimited. While there are numerous seeds available, there are only a few that are almost universally accepted as awesome.
The seeds are divided into three groups; they were categorized according to the MineCraft version. Some seeds won t work if you use them in a different version apart from your own version. A seed that is meant for another version could be used in another version, but it might spawn you in a different world. The seeds generate worlds that are entirely different from what you have been used to in MineCraft.
Some seeds will even spawn you in the middle of four different biomes. Some worlds create an event the moment you spawn such as a lava lake that starts a fire in a forest when you come into the game. The seeds listed come with a description and some helpful tips in that world including villages and dungeons and beautiful sceneries.
If you are bored or just insanely curious, the 70 seed ideas presented here are perfect for you.
The second part of this book is about Redstone. The 70 redstone ideas included in this book are a must especially for those who are into the survival mode of the game. By reading this part of the ebook, you ll get basic knowledge in creating redstone machines and devices.
Survival mode items include weapons, traps, and machines that can be used to build fortresses faster. Creative mode items are the art structures that require time and a lot of resources to create.
By equipping yourself with knowledge from this ebook, you can easily gain the upper hand in any situation against the mob or your friends. The advantages can either come in the form of saved time (because of automation) or fire power (because of the cannons). You can even create a nuke
The ideas contained are simple tools you need in normal activities inside the game such as egg catching and cooking chicken. There are also weapon ideas that you can use to defend yourself in combat or in the fortification of your house. Most of all, you can use some ideas to incorporate in your house such as booby traps and elevators.
Whether you want to be in different worlds or you want to experiment with redstones, this book is perfect companion for starters and experienced alike. Have fun
Part 1: Seeds
Chapter 1 Introduction to Seeds
This eBook contains fundamental knowledge about Minecraft seeds, and, of course, the top 70 Minecraft seeds ideas/values that you and your friends might wish to know. Gathering the seeds that are placed here in this book is no easy job. Take note that the variation of the worlds that Minecraft can create is almost endless - if not, vast.
Truth be told, it is no exaggeration that the number of different worlds that Minecraft can generate exceeds quintillions. Due to that fact, it is almost impossible for a player or an army of Minecraft gamers to take a peak in all the worlds that Minecraft can build for them. Moreover, not all the maps are worth mentioning or recreating. Only a few are interesting, and appraising a map s value is a tough task since a world s worth is a very subjective matter.
Nevertheless, people were able to gather a select few that are certainly worthwhile. Most of them were generated randomly, while the minority was actually achieved by trying their luck on inputting seeds, which they thought promising.
Every seed will contain some brief description of the world that will be generated from it. The description will provide necessary information about the location of the villages, resources, and biomes near the player s probable spawn point. And just for fun, the author might provide you with some mini challenges that might let you have some nonsensical fun with the worlds the seeds will generate for you.
Anyway, before you check out the list, help yourself and read the following section that will contain the important stuff you need to know about Minecraft seeds and world creation.
The Basics of Minecraft s Algorithm and Seeds
World materialization in Minecraft depends on its hardcoded algorithm. In order for this algorithm to be able to create a world, it needs to use a seed. The seed that it needs is an instance or combination of alphanumeric characters. A seed can contain at least 1 up to 32 characters (just imagine the total number of unique worlds you can create in Minecraft). Oh, and by the way, do not confuse Minecraft seeds with the plant seeds that a player plants inside a Minecraft world.
The fun thing about the Minecraft s world generating algorithm and seed values is that they allow a player to recreate the same world using that world s seed value. To make it simple, when the same seed value is given to the algorithm, it will create the same world. Even in different game consoles or computers, the algorithm will provide a specific world setup for a specific seed value.
Automatic Input of Minecraft Seed Values
Minecraft has two ways to acquire seeds for its algorithm to materialize worlds. The first method is for the program to create a pseudo random seed value. Actually, this pseudo random seed value is based on the system time of the player s gaming device (e.g., personal computer, Macintosh, XBOX, devices with Android OS, etc.). This automatic function prevents a user from being placed on a world that he might have played in already. Due to that factor, a player s experience may vary every time he attempts to play a new game.
Manual Input of Minecraft Seed Values
The second method is for the user to input one. And this can be done by simply changing the seed value in the More World Options screen under the Create New World menu. This method allows a player to re experience a world from scratch, and even let his friends or co players play in the same world he has already played in its untouched state.
How to Check a World s Seed Value
In addition, in case one likes a certain world s setup, he can check the seed that the algorithm used if he wants to recreate it again. All he needs to do is input the command /seed (without the quotes) in the game s chat window while he is playing in the world he wants to recreate. Usually, if he just let the algorithm use a pseudo random value, he can expect that the seed value will contain at least 15 characters or more. Also, the seed value might be positive or negative.
Additional Notes
By the way, the /seed command is only available in Minecraft version 12w21a and above. On the other hand, the function to input seeds manually while creating a new world is available in Minecraft version 1.30 and above. But in case you want to obtain a world s seed value without using the command, you can just use the Minecraft Save Seed Reader program to extract it. You can get that program by going through Minecraft Wiki s Seed Level Generation page.
Aside from recreating a world using a seed, it is also possible to do that without the use of it. Since version 1.4.2, the Re Create function under the Select World menu has been available. A player can just choose or highlight an old world, push the Re Create button, input the additional settings he wants, and generate the old world to its initial form.
Also, take note that whenever the game s algorithm is updated or changed, the world that will be generated from a seed value will be changed. For example, if a seed A generates a world that is full of water from an outdated Minecraft algorithm, seed A will not (or may not) generate the same world from an updated Minecraft algorithm. Due to that, gathering interesting seed values is a bit difficult, and can be frustrating whenever new algorithm updates are launched.
Chapter 2 The List
Due to the algorithm changes in different Minecraft sections, the seeds will be categorized according to the versions that they can work or provide similar worlds. The list will contain three categories or sections. The first one will contain seeds that will work with the latest beta version of Minecraft, which is version 1.8.1. The second section will contain seeds that will work with the seed input enabled beta version 1.3 up to the widely used beta version 1.7. Lastly, the third section will have a list of working seed values for version 1.3 up to the latest official release, which is version 1.6.2.
