Prepaid Financial Services Enhances Loading Network with Ukash Deal

PR Newswire

Agreement will enable PFS Cardholders across Europe to load prepaid cards using Ukash Vouchers

Prepaid Financial Services (PFS), a leading provider of global prepaid solutions and a MasterCard® prepaid partner, is delighted to announce that PFS cardholders and partners across the UK and Europe will now be able to load their prepaid card directly from the online cardholder portal using Ukash, the global e-money service.

Ukash enables consumers to spend cash securely online, removing the need to reveal personal financial information.  Ukash codes can be purchased with cash from thousands of retail outlets such as shops, post offices, kiosks and petrol stations wherever a PayPoint, Payzone or ePay logo is displayed. The unique 19 digit code can then be used to transfer funds to their prepaid account instantly by logging into their cardholder account online.

Noel Moran, CEO of Prepaid Financial Services, commented: "We already provide a comprehensive range of loading options which allow customers to add funds to their prepaid card account using credit/debit cards online or via SMS, bank and wage transfers, as well as cash loading at Payzone and the Post Office. We are delighted to provide cardholders with the added convenience of being able to load their cards using Ukash. This also allows us to enhance our loading network across Europe."

Established in 2005, Ukash has grown to more than 460,000 physical points of purchase, including 50,000 in the UK, and is available in more than 50 countries around the world. Ukash has been expanding its presence across a myriad ecommerce outlets, from fashion and fragrances to entertainment and gadgets, putting consumers in control of their spending without needing a credit or debit account.  The size of the network and the widening acceptance of Ukash make it an ideal loading partner for PFS.

David Hunter, CEO at Ukash, added:  "We know that prepaid card users are often those who don't have access to traditional forms of banking or credit and, therefore want the flexibility of being able to add funds to their card with cash. The primary goal of Ukash is to give consumers greater convenience in their financial transactions online, without needing to provide personal and banking details. We believe, therefore, that there is a very good fit between Ukash and Prepaid Financial Services, giving prepaid card holders even more flexibility in how they add funds."
