This month, sk:n clinics have donated £5,000 to national charity the British Skin Foundation (BSF) and this will go directly towards funding research into skin diseases and skin cancer. As the nation'sskin care specialists, sk:n share the British Skin Foundation's aim of educating the nation on the importance of skin care and finding a cure for a wide range of skin complaints.

sk:n are committed to improving the health of the nation's skin and feel that it is important to support charities such as the BSF that work tirelessly each day. Managing Director, Andy Randall says:

"We never think twice about donating to the BSF, their research is second to none in a field that is so close to our hearts. We are particularly passionate about educating our clients on the effects of sun exposure. Awareness about this topic has increased over the last few years, but there is still more work to be done. Not everyone is aware about how they can protect their skin from the sun, but it is vitally important; not only for it to stay looking good, but for long-term health and wellbeing benefits too. We hope that our donation will go some way to supporting the BSF in the brilliant work that they do."

This month also sees a group of climbers tackle Mount Kilimanjaro in order to raise money for research. The clinic chain have donated their sk:n SPF 30 sunscreen to the eight BSF climbers as they head to Tanzania for the 11 day event to keep their skin safe throughout the challenge.
