As usual, friends get together in a rental house to celebate new year’s eve. Will Isa take advantage of this week in the county to finally get things started with Fred, her best friend? Will Kevin make a move on Gwendo, the goth girl? Will Marco, the amateur film maker and slasher fan, manage to convince his friends to play in his next short film? Things are running smoothly, until New Year’s Eve, when one of them mysteriously disapears....

STATEMENT OF INTENT

The story of SADIK 2 is based on a main idea that will be revealed half-way through the movie. Therefore, we won’t reveal it here, not to ruin the surprise... Without knwing about the twist, one can still know that SADIK 2 stands somewhere between comedy and horror film, while being very ironical in its discourse, that should never be taken literally. Not only is it a diverting movie, it is also a tribute to genre films : it is about Slashers, about B or Z movies on videotape, found footages, snuff movies and other amusing themes.

BIOGRAPHY

Robin was born to cinema owners, and grew up in a cinema, watching films and learning to be a projectionnist. He later learned to be a cameraman and a cinematographer. After working both as a projectionnist and as a cameraman for short films, he got his first job as a main came- raman on the feature film «The Island» by Olivier Boilot. That is when he decided to try and direct a film himself. He bought some shooting gear, and directed two short films, «Anaïs and Eva» and «Sleepless Nights», in which he worked with actor Valentin Bonhomme for the first time.

After that, they decided together to make a feature film: Victims. Produced by 2017 FILMS from Lyon, Vic- tims was shot with a very low budget in summer 2011. There was a first screening in Lyon in January 2012, and the film was then presented at the Cannes Film Festival, at the Marché du Film. The film was noticed there by a journalist from magazine Mad Movies, Gilles Esposito, and by Consuelo Holtzer, the personn in charge of the European Fantastic Film Festival in Strasbourg, who quickly declares wanting to select Victims for the next edition of the festival in septembre 2012.

The film would be screened 3 times during the festival, and would be noticed, among others, by a journalist from magazine L’Ecran Fantastique, who would, as well as Mad Movies, make a nice article out of it (no- vembre 2012).

A double page on Victims, has also been printed by L’Ecran Fantastique in January 2013. It contains inter- views of Robin Entreinger and Valentin Bonhomme.

Robin’s second feature film, SADIK 2, a bloodcurdling comedy still produced by 2017 FILMS wil be scree- ned at the Marché du Film in Cannes 2013.

VICTIMS(2012,1h25). Psychological thriller. Francis is a gloomy, lonely young man, who decides to see a psychiatrist to try and find a solution to his problems. But session after session, the psychiatrist discovers a violent and potentially dangerous man, who doesn’t consider himself as compelled by society rules…Teaser on Youtube (Victims – Teaser).

LOST IN CANNES(2012, 12’) The mockumentary stages an actor going to Cannes to present his last film...He arrives there before the rest of the crew and gets lost and confused in the Festival’s agitation. Watch it on Dailymotion. (french language only)

CANNES 2011, DAILY LIFE OF A FESTIVAL GOER(2011, 10’) Comedy Cannes 2011 : the greatest film festival in the world. This mockumentary (is it ?), follows the daily life of a young direc- tor , William Tissy, who goes from cocktails to hype parties but never goes to any screening. Watch it on Dailymotion. SLEEPLESS NIGHTS(2011, 15’). Thought. A young writer gets to the mountains by himself to write a new novel. Against his wish, he finds himself facing his own inspiration, embodied in a strange apparition... Watch it on Youtube. (Nuits Blanches, english subtitles)

LEFT FOR DEADpilot, western, co-directed with Vincent MICHAUD. A man and his sister are on their way west, when they are attacked by horse thiefs. But things go wrong, and the man is left for dead, while his sister is abducted. After being saved b a kid, the man will do everything to find his daughter and get his revenge.

SADIK 2, a blood-curdling comedy from the French Alps February 26th, 2013 By Yvan SCHNEIDERLIN in Lyon - France

Sometimes, a movie hits you like a pocket-size UFO. That’s what happened with SADIK 2, a strange country production, a movie made by friends, that varies between laughs and terror. The independent adventure will continue in May, with next Cannes Film Festival’s «Marché du Film». Here is a first review before everyone else. !!! Warning: This review contains spoilers!

A weird object, coming from out of nowhere, splashed the screen of the local theatre the other day, in a pre- view: SADIK 2, a French blood-curdling comedy from the south of France. It’s fun, it’s played by young unknown actors, it’s the second movie by Robin ENTREINGER, after the oppressive Victims: in 2012, Valen- tin BONHOMME was great as a psychopath, in a first movie that was well received by the specialized press, including Mad Movies . In his filmography are mainly short films, available on Youtube or Dailymotion; there is also «Left for Dead», the pilot episode of a western series which hasn’t been released yet, co-directed with producer Vincent Michaud, the very «aware « intellectual leader of 2017 films in Lyon.

What about SADIK 2 then? Is it an avatar of Scream deglazed with Clairette de Die ? Is it an almost good- natured Chainsaw Massacre ?

Let’s sum it up: will buxom Isa finally make her dream reality by kissing her best friend Fred (whose phone is filled with pictures of half-naked men)? Will the simpleton Kevin take the initiative with Gwendo, the also buxom and traumatized goth? Will Marco, the crazy amateur director (a gore videotape freak) manage to convince handsome Franck to play in his over crazy short film this year? The thread in this special cinematographic object is quite thin: we can literaly follow two girls and four men who will party in an extreme New Year’s Eve way (beer galore, vodka shots for any reason, giant spliff, mini- mal techno music...) in a house isolated in the French Alps, without phone network, but with running water and electricity. At the same time, in the cellar, a sinister group of dangerous maniacs is going to shoot (but we’ll know it later), without the happy group’s knowledge, and especially at its expense, a new snuff movie... probably too real, judging by the twitches of my chair neighbor during the screening. ENTREINGER’s style on this one, his signature, his thing: a buddy movie, with a first part in which the cha- racters’ nature is nicely and sometimes movingly exposed, when it gets intimist and focuses on what each character doesn’t want the others to know about him/herself... add to that a few compulsory horror movie accessories: saw, drill, large knife (an obsession... the guy should see a shrink), hammer, syringe, garrotte, scalpel mask, leather apron...

We smile quite often, to tell the truth. It is also allowed to laugh, sometimes nervously, while watching this horror comedy. Rendez-vous in Cannes in May, when the movie will be looking for a distribution company at the Marché du Film... before it gets into a night horror tv show. «They did not know it was impossible, so they did it» (Mark Twain) SADIK 2, a film by Robin ENTREINGER, horror comedy. 75 minutes.
