The discovery of Ténébryl, the first French uro-angiographic iodized hydrosoluble product.
Ténébryl was perfected in 1931 by Marcel and André Guerbet. For the company which bore their name and after the discovery of Lipiodol, this was the opportunity to explore a new area in radiology : intravenous urography. The discovery of this product is exemplary in a greater sense, since it contributed to opening the way to a new class of contrast products of which the majority today are iodized products. All the ingredients of industrial research are present here, from risk-taking to successful commercialization.
Die Entdeckung des « Ténébryl » 's, erstes französisches wasserlösliches iodiertes uroangiographisches Produkt.
Das « Ténébryl » wurde 1931 von Marcel und André Guerbet ausgearbeitet. Für die Gesellschaft welche ihren Namen trug, und nach der Entdeckung des « Lipiodol », war es die Gelegenheit einen neuen Bereich der Radiologie zu erforschen : die intravenöse Urographie. Diese Entdeckung ist aus mehreren Grunden exemplarisch. Sie hat dazu beigetragen den Weg einer Klasse von Kontrastmittel zu eröffnen deren Mehrzahl am heutigen Tag, iodierte Produkte sind. Aile Bestandteile der industriellen Forschung sind hier vorhanden, von der Risiko-Uebernahme bis zur gelungenen Kommerzialisierung.
