The swiss Cyber Care Living Lab (CCLL) aims to offer a novel virtual -reality-based healthcare system

for integrated clinical and in -home services. It offers a viable and sustainable approach to addressing the

complex needs of caring for people not only while they are being treated in a hospital, but follow them

to their homes as well. As such it is strongly related to the EU’s Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) initiative.

Cyber Care

Living

Lab

(CCLL) in Rotkreuz

(Canton Zug) forms the foundation of a large variety of novel

real-time applications where a new generation of input/output devices, digital environments and virtual humans

create an interactive experience for the purpose of rehabilitation, telemedicine and home -based monitoring for

Ambient Assisted Living (AAL). Our approach is to base the effectiveness of these methods on strong clinical

evidence and make virtual reality therapy a vital element of clini cal-, ambulatory- and home-based rehabilitation.

We argue that such a model offers a more economical way of utilizing the power in virtual reality rehabilitation

and creates a unified platform

allowing early results, medical treatment protocols and prac tical approaches to enter

real-life clinics around Europe and the World.

The Cyber Care Clinique (CCC) system is comprised of multiple configurable hardware software

components, each addressing key aspe cts of the goals of specific rehabilitative needs.

The Cyber Care system

we will base the foundation of the proposed Living Lab upon our core technology, called the Virtual Human

Interface or VHI. The VHI has a modular architecture whereas each module p lays a vital part in the

process of rehabilitation .It has already been in use in Hungary successfully for virtual reality rehabilitation
