LONDON HYDROGEN PARTNERSHIP Supported by LONDON SCHOOLS Sponsored by Le ss o n 1 How we get hydrogen Introduction Hydrogen is the most abundant chemical element in the universe but on planet Earth pure hydrogen is relatively rare. Hydrogen is mainly found in combination with other chemical elements to form compounds. Therefore, in order to get pure hydrogen we need to remove it from a compound. In this lesson you will learn about two compounds that act as sources of hydrogen: water and biomass .
