– Windows 95/98/Me are NOT;

• Note: during the installation you will be prompted with an
error message. The installer cannot read a html file. You
will presented with three choices. Choose IGNORE;
• Get the installation CD from me (stop by at McLaughlin
Hall room 116)
• Copy the VisualStudio6Full.exe file from the CD to the
desktop;
• Double click on it to decompress it on any folder you like;
• Browse to that folder and than double click on setup.exe;
• The serial number is on the file serial#.txt in the same
directory where setup.exe is;
• When prompted choose CUSTOM installation;
• [continue]

• You do NOT need to install everything... Visual
C and Data access are the only two packages
you need (i.e. you can deselect everything else)
• CHECK register environmental variable when
prompted;
• UNcheck Install MSDN;
• You do not need to install any "installshield" or
"server setup" package, just click next when
prompted;
• UNcheck the REGISTER NOW checkbox;
• Congratulations, you are done!

• Wait until the Teja splash screen appears;
