Monique David-Ménard shows how the idea of her book, La folie dans la raison pure, Kant lecteur de Swedenborg, took shape. Taking as an example a great philosophical thought, she makes understandable how psychoanalysis raises new questions in philosophy. She demonstrates how a metaphorical proximity between the dialectical, more precisely antinomical, structure of reason in Kant, and the structure of paranoiac thinking such as describeb by Freud, can be transformed into a clue for reading this philosopher and tested by the specific consistency and organisation of his thought.
