French pharmacy at the universal exhibitions of 1878, 1889 and 1900.
The author studies the evolution of the French pharmacy through the Expositions Universelles of 1878, 1889 and 1900, by means of catalogues and juried reports of these exhibitions. Moving from artisanal to industrial levels, pharmacists underwent a veritable transformation concerning the presentation of medications and their composition. Profiting from the major discoveries of the beginning of the 19th century, they maximize such progress to contribute to the improvement of hygiene and human health.
Französische Pharmazie auf den Weltausstellungen von 1878, 1889 und 1900.
Der Verfasser erforscht die Entwicklung der frazösischen Pharmazie bei deren Anwesenheit auf den Weltausstellungen von 1878, 1889 und 1900, mittels Katalogen und Berichterstattungen der Preisrichterkollegien dieser Ausstellungen. Indem die Apotheker vom Handwerksbereich zum Bereich der Industrie ubergehen bewirken sie eine réelle Veränderung was die Aufmachung der Arzneimittel sowie deren Zusammensetzung betrifft. Während sie sich die wesentlichsten Erfindungen des beginnenden 19. Jahrhunderts zunutze machen, verstehen sie sich diesen Fortschritt zu verwalten und steuern so zur Verbesserung der Hygiene und der Gesundheit des Menschen bei.
