Dopo la caduta dei Trenta ad Atene nel 403 a.C. venne creata una magistratura straordinaria che si occupava di cause fiscali. La giurisdizione dei 'syndikoi' si estendeva su tutti i processi nei quali i beni di un singolo venivano rivendicati dallo Stato e in quelli nei quali un singolo rivendicava contro lo Stato i propri béni confiscati. Questi 'syndikoi' vanno distinti dagli altri 'syndikoi' attestati prima e dopo il 403 a.C., eccezionalmente menzionati corne rappresentanti legali forniti dallo Stato, da corporazioni о in difesa di singoli.
Après le renversement des Trente à Athènes en 403 av. J.-C. est créée une magistrature extraordinaire à compétence fiscale. La juridiction des 'syndikoi' s'étend sur tous les procès dans lesquels les biens d'un particulier sont revendiqués par l'État, et ceux dans lesquels un particulier revendique contre le fisc ses biens confisqués. Il faut distinguer ces 'syndikoi' d'autres 'syndikoi' nommés par mesure exceptionnelle pour représenter l'État, les corporations ou les simples particuliers.
After the overthrow of the Thirty at Athens in 403 B.C. there is evidence for the existence of a board of commissioners, extraordinary officers, concerned with the many property cases arising out of confiscations, exiles, and so forth during the recent political upheavals. The primary function of the 'syndikoi' was administrative-fiscal, to look after the interests of the state treasury. 'Syndikoi' who were members of this short-lived board must be distinguished from 'syndikoi' who are occasionally mentioned as pleaders appointed by the state, by corporations, or on behalf of individuals.
