If several autoloaders are supported, a selection dialogue will appear from which the installed type of autoloader can be chosen. Press OK to confirm the selection. Then the autoloader specific setup dialogue will appear.
PoINT Publisher: Getting Started It displays the current settings. Th elayout of the dialogue may vary depending on the functionality of your specific hardware. For exam ple, some loaders do not use a serial port, others dont provide printing support. First you should define port and pr inter driver. Then you may specify your drives. To do that, select the number of groups (if applicable), click on the exact position of the drive (if applicable), and click on the Add button and select a drive from the opening list. Please note that PoINT Publisher needs to know th e exact position of drives in some loaders. Finally confirm your choice by clicki ng on OK. This will return to the Settings dialogue which shows the configured drives. The Test button should now finally be presse d to check the current settings.
The tests include checking the serial port, the communication with the loader, and the existence of the se lected drives(s). During the tests a disc will be loaded to and unloaded from all configured drives. This test must complete without errors . Otherwise PoINT Publisher will not work properly.

If you have setup an autoloader (not a CD R Tower) you will find this page in the Settings dialogue. In order to avoid wasting discs by a malfunctioning recorder, you can instruct PoINT Publisher to disable it after a certain number of fail ures that occurred in a row with this device. In case that a recorder is disabled, processing continues with the remaining recorders. Disabled recorders are automatically re enabled when you start the next pro duction cycle. This option is not av ailable in manually loaded tower versions. If you want to permanently disable a malfunctioning recorder, remove it from the configuration in the hardware Setup dialogue. For autoloaders with a disc printe r and a rotation function the next op tion is available. Jobs that requir e disc rotation to a marker before printing will be excluded from further processing when a certain limit of rotator errors occurred. Usually rotator errors are caused by discs that have no marker.
