Description

Victoria, Australia's most populated state, has suffered unprecedented governance of seemingly relentless, drastic, and stringent laws which has put at risk viability and survival of the state and its people.
Under these laws, the leader of Victoria, Premier Daniel Andrews has taken Victoria's capital Melbourne, from being the World's most liveable city to the World's most locked down city.
This book unmasks the man, his government, his policies, and what has transpired in the state of Victoria since he was in positions of power.

INTRODUCTION
“Victoria – The Place T o Be”
- Caption on Victorian vehicle number plates
“There is no such thing as my truth or your truth but only t ruth.”
- Carmine Savastano, political and human behaviour author
If you have never visited Australia, you may know absolutely nothing about the state of Victoria, and its capital Melbourne.
With 6.7 million people, Victoria is Australia’s second-most populous state, holding just over 25 per cent of the total Australian population
In terms of land mass, Victoria is Australia’s second-smallest state. Melbourne is Australia’s second-largest city with a population of just over five million people.
For seven consecutive years, from 2011 to 2017, Melbourne was voted by the Economist Intelligence Unit as the World’s Most Livable City .
Victoria is big on sport and is home to the Australian Open, one of four worldwide Grand Slam tennis championships.
We have Australia’s premier horse race, the Melbourne Cup. This race was also made a public holiday on the first Tuesday in November, one of the very few places in the world to do so.
Victoria hosts the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, and the Australian Football League (AFL) Grand Final. Just like the Melbourne Cup, the state government made the Friday before the AFL Grand Final a public holiday.
Victoria is the only place in the world that has two public holidays for two different sporting events.
As I said, we’re big on sport.
Victoria is littered with beautiful beaches and popular coastlines. We’ve got great roads that will lead you to picturesque country towns and sprawling bushland.
Legends were made here.
The bushranger and outlaw Ned Kelly (1854-1880) seems to have a whole town dedicated to him, Glenrowan, about 236km from Melbourne.
In 1890, famed Australian poet Banjo Paterson penned The Man From Snowy River; one of the most popular literary works in Australian history, and that was made into a blockbuster movie.
Victoria is world-renowned for gold. It accounts for a third of Australian gold that has been mined and is mined, while almost 2 per cent of the global gold total.
In 1851 gold was discovered some 115km northwest of Melbourne in a place called Ballarat.
The gold rush began and migrants from all over the world flocked to Victoria.
In three years, the population of Victoria more than tripled because of the gold rush, growing from 77,000 to 237,000. In 1857, the population had grown to 411,000.
The economic and cultural impact of this influx shaped Victoria’s future and directly led to us becoming the successful and multi-cultural society we are today.
Yes, as the number plates on our cars and trucks read; Victoria - Garden State; Victoria On The Move; Victoria - The Place To Be; VIC - Stay Alert, Stay Alive; and Victoria - The Education S tate.
Victoria certainly is a great place, but sadly, more recently, we have needed to add another tag line to our number plates … Victoria–The Lockdown S tate.
The Covid-19 Siege
Victoria has been under a dark shadow of lockdown restrictions since Covid was introduced to the world in late 2019.
One that was compounded by the Victorian Parliament Upper House’s (Victoria’s equivalent to the Senate) passage of the Public Health and Wellbeing Amendment (Pandemic Management) Bill by a razor-thin margin of 20 votes to 18 on 2 December, 2021, following weeks of vehement discussion and public outrage, creating mass public demonstrations and nightly vigils that began under Premier Dan Michael Andrews.
Hundreds of thousands of Victorians opposed to lockdowns and mandatory vaccinations rallied and occupied the steps of the state parliament for weeks in protest of the legislation. Protesters denounced the planned measure as “dangerous legislation” that gave Premier Dan Andrews unprecedented powers not seen in anyone’s lifetime in Australia.
Many Victorians - who had endured six world record lockdowns, and had spent more time than anybody else on the planet living under stay-at-home orders - 263 days - were opposed to the overreaching, tyrannical, legislation.
This is the law that has been dubbed the worst of its kind in the entire world.
This is how one man took the world’s most livable city and turned it into the world’s most locked-down city.
Political Make-Up Glossary
Liberal Party –Conservative in their foundations but tilting to the left consistently. Seen as the American equivalent of the Republican Party. (I know it sounds confusing but, our Liberal Party does not mean liberal like when discussing Democrats. Oh, and their colours are blue.)
Australian Labor Party (ALP) – Unapologetically left in all its thinking but constantly flaunts its hypocrisy when it cuddles up to the top end of town and leans on the more affluent for support. Socialists with enormous trade unions blind support. Most Victorian ALP Members of Parliament are members of a union. But we are for the worker – yeah, right! Equivalent … the US Democrats, but the colors are red.
Greens – Same as everywhere else in the world. Economically clueless. Divisively dangerous. No longer “save the whale” or tree huggers, these people delve further left than Labor. Greens and Labor often fight like an upset married couple. However, hop right back into bed with each other come voting time.
United Australia Party —Conservative in economics, family values, and the environment. A resurrected party by billionaire Clive Palmer. A strong theme of never trusting Liberal, Labor, or Greens again. Ridiculed by much of mainstream media.
National Party —Strong in the state of Queensland and parts of the country Victoria. Mostly sides with Liberal Party and regularly join in a Coalition to form government or opposition.
One Nation —Protection of Australian jobs and interests. Often the pinata outlet for media frustrations. Headed by former Liberal Pauline Hanson with former Australian Labor leader Mark Latham heading up in the New South Wales parliament.
Christian Parties —Clearly wanting Christian values to permeate through society has seen Australia become increasingly secular.
Teals— A new breed of “independents”. Named because they consider themselves fiscally conservative (blue) but have a climate as their aim (green), combine the two and you get teal. Targeted and won several Liberal seats in the May 2022 Australian election. They are politically left.
Freedom Parties— Those parties for freedom of people and businesses and less government control over people’s lives. Parties include the newly formed Freedom Party, Victorians Party, Family First as well as One Nation, and the United Australia Party.
Other —Who cares? Mainly leftie, single issue, nutter parties. Unfortunately, have had too much say in Victorian Parliament.
1 DECISIVE DAN
“We will not disappoint them!”
- Dan Andrews’ election victory address to Victorians.
“Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wi sdom.”
- Thomas Jefferson. Third President of the United States and Founding Father
Daniel Michael Andrews is the 48 th Premier of Victoria, Australia.
He is aligned with the Socialist Left of the Labor Party that is pro-union, pro-abortion, high taxes, bigger government, and pro-other social regressive ideas.
On being elected to the safe Labor Legislative Assembly seat of Mulgrave in 2002, he was immediately handed Parliamentary Secretary for Health.
Dan was appointed to the Cabinet after the 2006 election, serving as minister for Gaming, Minister for Consumer Affairs, and Minister Assisting the Premier on Multicultural Affairs.
He was appointed Health Minister in the Labor government in 2007. As Health Minister, he voted for abortion in 2008.
In 2010 he became Leader of the Opposition after Labor lost to the Liberal Party.
Labor then won back the government four years later, defeating a lame Liberal government, and Dan became Premier of Victoria in November 2014. An incumbent administration was overthrown after only one term in office for the first time since 1955.
It is interesting to note that in the 2014 election Dan lost four per cent of local support in his seat of Mulgrave, but Labor increased overall in Victoria by 3.57 per cent.
