Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The rugs, chiefly dating from the seventeenth century, are of the Turkish and Persian weaves of Ghiordes, Kulak, Ladik and Sehna, as well as a well-preserved specimen of Rhodian weave of the sixteenth century.
