Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. This is one of the most animated pieces produced from the famous Hirado factory. The boys are seen playing Blind Man's Buff round a stone lantern. The figures are brilliantly glazed and coloured, but the stone pillar holding the lantern is left in plain biscuit. The characters on the pillar tell of some legend in connection with the game. The piece is slightly warped in the baking, a not uncommon result of the early unscientific methods of the Japanese potters.
