Piano Master for Everyone Level I is a textbook for a comprehensive approach that focus on every ADULTS or ANYONE who have never played the piano. This piano method was written based on Dr. Hajin Kim's successful curriculum for Group Piano Classes at Siena Heights University and Community Music School College of Music Michigan State University "Piano Master for Everyone Level I" can be published in many strong needs from the students with same questions and doubt how to approach to play the piano as a beginner. "Piano Master for Everyone Level I" is noticeably unique and creative approach to help all adult beginners to play the piano including general music theory. There is largely because this piano method was written by the VIEW from the students who never played the piano before instead of the expert’s professional views. Everyone can start to learn how to play the piano by themselves with "Piano Master for Everyone Level I." Dr. Hajin Kim wants to share her proved successful curriculum at colleges with public adults who wants to play the piano as a beginner or as a non music major student who played the piano just few times without any academic knowledge.

White Keys on the Piano Keyboard
The white keys on the piano keyboard are:

The first key on the piano keyboard is mechanically "A" followed by B C D E F G. If you start with “C”, you have a C D E F G A B and C again.
It is “ C Major Scale” (C D E F G A B C). * It is detailed on page 46.
Based on C major scale musically the first note can be “C” instead of “A” on the piano keyboard.
*The major scale is Do- Re- Mi- Fa- Sol- La- Ti (or Si)- Do . *For example, in C major, “C” is “Do”.
• Do- Re- Mi- Fa- Sol- La- Ti (or Si)- Do is called Solfege.
The note names are derived from the first verse of the Latin.

The names of the white keys on the piano keyboard that make:


Rhythm
Notes have a duration ranging from 1 to 4 counts.
*Each note has its own name and value.
Whole note (Four beats) Half Note (Two beats, a half of whole note) Quarter Note (One beat, a quarter of whole note)
Finger Numbers Finger numbers for both hands are in a different direction with the same numbers. Finger numbers for both hands are in the same direction with the different numbers.
For example) The left hand finger number 5 is going with the right hand finger number 1 , The left hand finger number 4 is going with the right hand finger number 2. Thumb is always number 1 for both hands.

Quarter Note and Half Note
Clap and tap “rhythm” and count each note value. Count steady beats as written. Each measure has the same number of beats.
