Description

In this play, Nwasolu Celestine criticizes the exploitations person or people whose opinions, especially about religion or politics, and who may do things that are violent, illegal, etc. it is extremist. The play opens with Enamel, as Enamel was returning from the city, where he went to serve his master; he took off late in the afternoon so he reached home at night. He followed the narrow bush part that leads to his village. Then, he was attacked by some hoodlums (gangs) that stays late at night to rob people of their valuables. When they searched Enamel, they discovered that he was Emeka's brother the tattoo their father gave them their heritage was indented on them from generation to generation.

I n this play Nwasolu Celestine criticize the exploitations person or people whose opinions, especially about religion or political, and who may do things that are violent, illegal, etc. it is extremist. The play opens with Enamel, as Enamel was returning from the city, were he went to serve his master; he took of late in the afternoon so he reached home at night. He followed the narrow bush part that leads to his village. Then, he was attacked by some hoodlums (gangs) that stays late at night to rob people of their valuables. When they searched Enamel, they discovered that he was Emeka's brother the tattoo their father gave them their heritage was indented on them from generation to generation.
PLOT SUMMARY


T he book, the Great Storm, is a very interesting story, it depicts the future king. When Emeka was given birth to, he was adopted when his mother died at child birth, so he was sent to motherless babies' home for maternity care.
The nurse gave the baby to queen whom was desperately in need of a child. Emeka was the adopted son of the Queen which many knows. He was very fortunate. This play narrates that he became a prince in the palace; he went for wars and fought for the kingdom for peace to reign. They conquered their enemies. He had stopped crimes harboring within and outside the palace (kingdom). The words by cast (character) are very short and each has meaning and makes the story the playwright is telling meaningful. The introduction includes the study guide which will aids students using the book for educational purpose to understand the book very well. The study guide assist non students a like reading the book for personal benefit to understand and enjoy it very well.

STORY OF THE PLAY


T he play story is about Group of gangs try to attack Enamel and as they did interrogate him, one saw the identity card and tattoo and told the rest to stop beating the boy (Enamel) that he is Emeka's brother. Enamel was surprised by this madent.
He then intends to research more of the Emeka's Life/Trauma:
Type of drama
The play is tragedy.
Theme
This is seen in the play when Emeka was given birth to, he was adopted when his mother died at child bearing, so he was sent to motherless babies home for maternity care.
Setting
The play is set when Emeka was as noble as a king he separated the bad from good, evil from worthy, and a selfless king. A warrior and an achiever.
Plots
The plot structure is linear. It has a beginning, middle and an end. The play opens up with Enamel, as when the group of gangs try to attack Enamel and as they did interrogate him. One saw the identity card and tattoo and told the rest to stop beating the boy (Enamel) that he is Emeka's brother.
Situation
A storm violent and direct assault on a stronghold.
Language style The language is simple, OXFORD ADVANCED LEARNER'S DICTIONARY and MASTERING ENGLISH. Which can be understood by any reader of senior secondary school and above. It has some literary functions like irony, similes, metaphor, and epigram, apostrophy, symbolic.
Characterization
Nwasolu Celestine, picking his character was well chosen and well organized.

A s Enamel was returning from the city, were he went to serve his master. He took of late in the afternoon so he reached home at night. He followed the narrow bush part that leads to his village. Then, he was attacked by some hoodlums (gangs) that stays late at night to rob people of their valuables. When they searched Enamel they discovered that he was Emeka's brother by the tattoo their father gave them. Their heritage was indented on them from generation to generation.
SCENE 1


A s the bus dropped him off his root, late, he decided to (stroll) walk along the path he could bear.
(Engines stops it cracking sound ready to offload)
Driver: Who they come down for here?
Enamel: It is I, Okuizor junction, Driver stop let me come down.
Driver: Ok, fast fast. Enamel: Ok Driver.
The Driver drops him off and began to move his vehicle to another destination.
SCENE 2


H e took his bag and was head to his village that night. Everywhere was dark he could hardly see things around. He talked to himself and was also looking for a means to go home. Enamel: This bag is so heavy, what am I going to do to get home, why did I carry such a heavy load. I should have boarded a bus very early. Let me continue my journey with leg.
(Light Fade Out)
SCENE 3


T hey saw somebody walking aimlessly tired and noticed he has not been in town, they decided to ambush him but to their notice, they noticed that he was one of them. Kachi, the gang leader with his subordinate spider and the rest of his crew.
Kachi: Stop there!!!
Spider: Who goes there?
Enamel: It is me, Enamel
Spider: Enamel, who?
Kachi: Enamel Jesus?
Spider: Shei, na your father get this village?

Enamel: Enamel Udoji, it's not my father that has the village.
Spider: Na me you dey speak English for, abi? God punish you.
Enamel: Sorry Sir, Kachi: Okay come here! !.
Why you they waka by this time of the day.
Enamel: I boarded a bus late and there was road block and it cause traffic.
Spider: So wetin you dey find for here?
Enamel: I am going to my village and I couldn't get a means, that's why I am trekking.
Kachi: Wetin you bring come for us?
Enamel: I brought, only!! Only!! (He stammers)
Spider: You no bring money for us, this your big bag so, I know say na money full am.
Enamel: It's not. Kachi shines torch on him and saw a tattoo in his arm and was curious about it, then he notice he was his brother. Then he asked him, where he is going to. He said Ayamelum. He shattered him for the night and the next day he boarded a ride for him to go home. Kachi told him that he had a royal tattoo, he related to him as a brother and family.

SCENE 4


E namel reached home and decided to research more on his family background. He narrated the incident that took place from the path he took that night, somewhere along Okuizor.
Enamel reaches his destination and greeted his Papa and his Siblings along the line.
Driver: Anaku! !!
Enamel: yes, driver, stop it
Let me come down (He walks to his compound)
Enamel: Papa I'm home
Papa: My son welcomes back, how is your body and your journey?

Enamel: Papa I am fine, Papa how is Chioma and Chisom, where are they?
Papa : Chioma went to stream and Chisom went to the farm to get some food and wood to eat.
Enamel: Papa how's your health? I hope my siblings are caring for you?
Papa: I am fine o; it is God that keeps one alive, your sisters are trying.
Papa: Go and bath and get some rest.
Enamel: Okay Papa.
