Enterprising industrialist Dhirajlal Hirachand Ambani popularly known as Dhirubhai Ambani had become a business legend in his life time. This son of an ordinary teacher played a significant role with his entrepreneurial skills and will power in the economic turnaround of India in globalised scenario.
He had gone to Aden when he was yet a mere teenager (17yrs). There he worked as an ordinary employee of a firm but he thought like an industrialist. He served Shell Oil Company with a dream of bigger company in his mind.
He returned from Aden with a small capital of Rs. 50,000.00 only. A few decades down the line his industrial house crossed the wealth of 50,000 crores. His considerate attitude towards the consumers was what made him so successful industrialist. Even in the age of globalisation he did not give up his traditional values.
Taking Dhirubhai Ambani’s life as an example and by adopting his values we too can make our lives successful and pave the way of progress. Corporate world of India will always remain indebted to this village product of Gujarat for adding a new dimension to it and gaining its global recognition.

Birth & Childhood
Dhirajlal Ambani was born on December 28, 1932 in Chorwad, Junagarh, Gujarat. Hirachand Govardhandas was his father. He was a teacher by profession. The name of the mother was Jamunaben. The family was very ordinary. Economically the family was not very rich but it was self dependent.
It was his father from whom he learnt the first lesson.
