So many ways to help Helping others is fun. It is rewarding, too. Young people help others every day, often beginning by helping at home. Perhaps you help by doing the laundry, preparing meals, or looking after younger brothers and sisters.
Many young people reach out to their neighbours. Simple acts of kindness make a big difference. Older people may need help doing errands or caring for their gardens. They may be lonely. Just waving and saying “hello” can make a difference.
Keeping your neighbourhood safe is important, too. Something as simple as reporting broken glass in a play area may prevent other children from getting hurt. Being a good example to younger children is also helpful.
In Kenya, these Maasai girls help to do the family laundry.
