Sample Book Insights:
#1 I have worked hard to maintain my youthful vigor. I do yoga inversions, take ice baths, and drink Bulletproof coffee daily. I am a devotee of Aldous Huxley, who wrote, The secret of genius is to carry the spirit of the child into old age, which means never losing your enthusiasm.
#2 I had followed my honey-blond friend Molly to a new colorist, and one day I mentioned to him that I planned to tape a five-part video series later in the week to promote my new book. He promised me a natural coloring process that would remove a third of my gray.
#3 I had become too concerned with my appearance, and I had spent too much money on hair dye to continue to be Diane Sawyer. I had to call a truce on my more superficial efforts and focus on downward dog and morning meditations.
#4 The two-space after a period is an example of an outdated habit that many Gen Yers have never learned. We need to retrain our brains to not do this, even if it is extremely difficult.

#1

I have worked hard to maintain my youthful vigor. I do yoga inversions, take ice baths, and drink Bulletproof coffee daily. I am a devotee of Aldous Huxley, who wrote, The secret of genius is to carry the spirit of the child into old age, which means never losing your enthusiasm.

#2

I had followed my honey-blond friend Molly to a new colorist, and one day I mentioned to him that I planned to tape a five-part video series later in the week to promote my new book. He promised me a natural coloring process that would remove a third of my gray.

#3

I had become too concerned with my appearance, and I had spent too much money on hair dye to continue to be Diane Sawyer. I had to call a truce on my more superficial efforts and focus on downward dog and morning meditations.

#4

The two-space after a period is an example of an outdated habit that many Gen Yers have never learned. We need to retrain our brains to not do this, even if it is extremely difficult.

#5

The latest technology isn’t always easy for people of a certain age. For example, my friend’s mother, who was born before radio became common in homes, had to adapt to television, rotary telephones, record players, push-button phones, answering machines, microwave ovens, and many more dizzying new inventions of the twentieth century.

#6

There are many people my age who are fed up with technology these days. I have half a dozen chat windows open on my laptop as I plea for help getting several of my devices, apps, and programs to work.

#7

Elder abuse of technology includes using an AOL or Yahoo email address, posting deeply personal messages on a friend’s public Facebook wall, or referring to Twitter as The Twitter.

#8

Fear of falling can lead to more falls in surfing. You will lose momentum if you hesitate, and you will miss the wave if you don’t commit completely.

#9

Surfing well is similar to meditation. You must stop thinking and be in the moment. When you catch a wave, do not get distracted by anything else. Keep your focus and check your fear.

#10

I had always known that my mother, a plain Jane by day, was a Cosmo girl at night. She was defiant about fashion truisms and never followed any that were age related. She was extremely comfortable in her skin.
