Simple Present Tense:

Thefuturetense is used to show what isgoing to happen.

It is usually shown by adding–ed.

Simple Future Tense:

He / she / it climbs.

E.g.

I / you / we / they climb.

I / you / we / they climbed.

He / she / it climbed.

Test those Tenses

It is usually shown by using the helping verb‘will’or‘going’ + ‘infinitive verb’.

E.g.

Thepresenttense is used to show what is happeningnow/today.

E.g.

He / she / it is going to climb.

Thepasttense is used to show what has happenedearlier.

Verb preceded by ‘to’ to play to argue to study

It is usually shown by havingno ending(to the verb), or by adding–s.

Simple Past Tense:

I / you / we / they will climb.

Use‘going’ + ‘infinitive verb’ when you have already decided to do something in the future. E.g. After school, Toby and Margaret aregoingtowatch a movie.

Use‘will’when you are volunteering to do something in the future OR when you are deciding, at the time of speaking, to do something in the future. E.g. Wow, the grass is getting long. Iwillmow it tomorrow.
