Athena was known in Greek Mythology as the goddess of courage, wisdom, and crafts. Her symbols were the serpent, the owl, the spear, the shield, the olive tree, and armor. Zeus was her father and Metis was her mother. Her Roman name was Minerva. She lived on top of Mount Olympus.
