Preface
Laci, the Largemouth Bass emerged out of a trip to my attic. I had purchased a cup with the imprint of a largemouth bass some years ago, and had retired it there. As serendipity demands, a story bubbled out of my head, and in several weeks, the narrative flowered. Please relish this story of a conscientious fish that embodies the warmth of genuine friendship, the importance of community, and joie de vivre.
There is no greater joy than to swim and frolic in the clear morning light of the O’Barry-Barack Lake with a school of other bass.
