WELCOME TO PANCHATANTRA

Panchatantra is an ancient Indian Book of Literature, collection of animal fables, originally written in Sanskrit by Vishnu Sharma, around the year 300 CE, who lived the city of Mahilaropya in South of India. Thereafter this compilation became the most famous Hindu Literary work of moral stories, and it has been translated into almost all the languages around the world.
The Panchatantra is a series of inter-woven fables, many of which deploy metaphors of anthropomorphized animals with human virtues and vices. The idea of each story is to impart knowledge of the worldly conduct, teaching lessons via real life manners and sentiments. When narrated to children from an early age, these simple stories impart knowledge of - psychology, manners, good conduct, strategy and leadership in the young generation.
Panchatantra has been divided into five sub-books. Each has its own Sub Title -

2. Mitra-lābha, Achievement of friend(s) (Advantages of friendship)
3. Kākolūkīyam, The story of Crows and Owls
4. Labdhapra ṇ āśam, Loss of what has been attained.
5. parīk ṣ itakāraka ṃ , To do without pre-examination, actions committed in haste

THIRSTY CROW
Come let’s start with the first story
Of a very thirsty Crow.
In search of water, he flew around
Many places, high and low.
He was losing hope,
after trying a Lot.
Then Suddenly he saw tucked under a tree,
Was lying a clay pot.
He flew straight down and found,
there was water but way at the bottom.
Disappointed, he thought and thought
How to solve this problem.
looking around he saw stones nearby,
There is a technique, let mee try.
The pebbles one by one, he clutched
In the beak and dropped in the Pot.
Water slowly came up to the brim
He happily drank, and drank a lot.
Moral :
Use your brain and strong you stay
There will always be a way!”
