Description

Playing with Magic is a book about clueless journeys, which will have your full attention, and interest the entire time! I wrote this book to interest readers in mysterious adventures! This book would be great to read out loud, in a class group setting, or silently to yourself. There's different roles for each character to enjoy! I hope all readers enjoy, share, and continue to support me on my successful journey! Furthermore, you might be interested in supporting my other two books called, "Kah'Lonee' Sunny Days Recipes," and "Dreams of Stars." I dedicate this book to my beautiful mommy, Tianamonet Tobie. I love you with my whole heart!

Alex: Hey Cat, can we talk?
Cat: Yeah, what’s up?
Alex: Well, John hasn’t come home in two days. I was wondering if he was with you!
Cat: Nope, sorry. What about Eric or Peyton?
Alex: Can you ask Peyton and I’ll ask Eric?
Cat: Okay!
Alex: Hey Eric!
Eric: Yeah?
Alex: Is John with you, he has not come home in two days?
Eric: Nope!
Alex: Oh!
Eric: B... But I saw him the other day!
Alex: What did he say?
Eric: He said, “I’ll be back soon, I’m going to go visit a friend.”
Alex: Oh, is that all?
Eric: No, but he told me not to say anything.
Alex: Just tell me, I think he’s missing.
Eric: Fine, he said, “I’m going to go visit a friend in Miami.”
Alex: We live in LA.
Eric: Yeah, he said he’ll be back on Thursday.
Alex: That’s tomorrow!
Eric: Oh yeah, it is, but I have to go!
Alex: Bye!
Eric: Bye!
Cat: Hey, Payten said he talked to John the other day!
Alex: Yeah, so did Eric!
Cat: Anyway, it’s seven o’clock, so I’m going to go get some sleep.
Alex: Good night!
Narrator: Alex wakes up to find John sleeping on her bedroom floor.
Alex: Ah!
John: Ah, you scared me!
Alex: I scared you?
John: Yeah!
Alex: Where have you been?
John: I went to go see a friend!
Alex: Mmmhmm, you could have told me!
John: Sorry gosh, I didn’t think it was a big deal!
Alex: You were gone for two days!
John: Sorry.
Alex: Hey, you won’t believe what just happened!
Cat: What?
Alex: John came home last night and was sleeping on my floor.
Cat: Why?
Alex: I don’t know, I didn’t ask him.
Cat: Well, go ask him and text me when you have some answers!
Alex: Okay!
Alex: So, why are you on my floor?
John: Because I locked my door when I left.
Alex: And?
John: I wanted to sleep in your room and I didn’t feel like unlocking my door.
Alex: What’s so important in your room that you have to lock it? Is it some money?
John: Um…
Alex: It’s a joke!
John: Yeah, I know!
Alex: Are you good?
John: Yeah, let me go unlock my door.
Narrator: John receives a text.
John: Hold on, Peyton is outside, I’m going to go say hi.
Alex: Okay!
John: Can you unlock my door?
Alex: Yeah, sure thing!
John: Okay, thanks!
Alex: So, John was sleeping on my floor because he didn’t want to unlock his bedroom.
Cat: What? He has a lock?
Alex: Yeah, but he gave me the key to unlock his door while he talks to Peyton!
Cat: Okay, so you go unlock it and snoop around!
Alex: Um, you sure?
Cat: Yeah, if he has a lock on his bedroom door than he doesn’t want you to find out something!
Alex: Okay, I unlocked it.
Cat: What do you see?
Alex: I see a safe!
Cat: Um, do you know the password?
Alex: No.
Cat: Try your birthday.
Alex: Okay, it doesn’t work.
Cat: Um, well I don’t know!
Alex: Wait… I see something. He dropped his phone while walking out!
Cat: Well try to see if it says anything.
Alex: It says Julia.
Cat: My friend?
Alex: Hey!
