Description
A Secret Sand House is a faith-based childrens story that delightfully exemplifies the lesson of being wise versus foolish. Its warm colorful art illustrations enable children to easily identify with the two adventurous siblings, Bruddy and Sissy. In the spring of the year, Papa and Mama Coney decide it is time to move their growing family from the overcrowded Coney Colony and travel to the other side of the rocky hillside in search of a new home site. Mama Coney inspects each patch of land to make sure their house is built on a firm and solid rock foundation. Papa Coney wisely selects just the right tools for building their house on the rock. While Papa and Mama Coney are busily building their family a new rock home, their two-little offspring, Bruddy, and Sissy set out for an ill-fated adventure down by the lake. A decision that ends up getting them in a whole lot of trouble and danger.
A Secret Sand House adventure story gently drives home the principal value(s) of using Godly wisdom.

“The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats,
and the rocks for the conies.”
Psalms 104:18 KJV
I t was in the spring of the year when Papa and Mama Coney decided it was time to move from the hillside, where they had lived their whole life. The conie colony was now overcrowded, and there was no room left to build a house there for their growing family. With the birth of their two youngsters, Bruddy and Sissy, they made ready to travel to the far side of Prayer Mountain.
Papa Coney gathered all his building tools, while Mama Coney filled a basket with juicy berries and tasty clover for her family to eat on their journey.
“Come along children,” Mama called cheerfully. “We’re on our way to find a brand-new neighborhood.”
“Oh boy!” shouted Bruddy. He turned to his little sister and said, “We’re going on an adventure, Sissy!”
“It’s gonna be fun, huh, Bruddy?”
“Yeah, Mama says Papa’s gonna’ build us our very own house.”
“That’s right,” Mama Coney said, reaching out her hand for Sissy to grab hold of. “We must get there by early evening before the sun goes down, so hurry, hurry.”
“Let’s go, Bruddy,” Papa cautioned. “Don’t dawdle. We need to stay close together, we’re entering unknown territory.”
