Can you define what a Food Chemistry is?
Food chemistry is the study of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of foods. It is fun and interesting branch of science.
The baked cake in the oven, the sour taste of a lemon, and the smell of chocolate involves food chemistry.
Chemistry studies behavior and properties of molecules. Food also has molecules and these molecules react and form new molecules when you are putting a food in storage or during cooking. That’s what makes food chemistry fun!
