HOUSE ON THE HILL WITH THE CLOCK IN THE MIDDLE
Dedication
This book is dedicated to my son, John Thomas Heiligenthal (John- John). His childhood fascination with my storytelling prompted me to write a story especially for him.
Memorial Dedication
To Herta Blumner Heiligenthal, the Mother-in-Law I never had the opportunity to meet, but learned to love through her son, Gary, and daughter, Janet Flora Heiligenthal Buetow. Herta’s father, Herman Blumner, was actually a tailor in Germany and in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Acknowledgement
With many thanks and much appreciation to my siblings, Diana, Lori, Ken, Richard, and Barbara.
“Mommy, mommy! Grandpa’s here!” John-John screamed with delight as he ran to meet his grandpa at the door.
Oh, how he loved his grandpa! Mom came right behind him, picking up toys.
“Hi, Dad. Lunch is on the table. Have to hurry. Thanks for watching John-John. Love you,” Mom chattered as she raced out the door for her appointment.
