This coffee table book is dedicated to my only son, Muhamad Essa, who has inspired me to inscribe our journey together through a series of tweets about life, experiences insights.
This book is a tribute to my husband, Allan, who has always been a devoted, supportive, responsible loving partner.
I would also dedicate this book to my parents, Jocelyn Eutiquio Bulambot, my best friends, Nilda Gallo Mayona Delima Buck and my closest friends: Sara Fuellas, Vilma Andales, Armida Graham, Maricha Masas, Suzette Nellas, Maricel Cayon Vilma Gallo, my sister, Nene, who continue to believe in me whose presence in my life made a significant contribution to who I am today.

Preface
The opportunity of working in another country as an expatriate has exposed me to a lot of things. It gave me a chance to understand the deeper meaning of life. The pain of being away from our family, the loneliness, the struggles, sacrifices transitions we had to face.
Living as expatriates has never been easy. We face a lot of challenges from homesickness to struggles in getting a job, adjustments in collaborating with different cultures, facing issues on thriving in a very competitive environment and a lot more.
But despite all these challenges, expatriates are often resilient. We draw strength from our loved ones, friends families to survive.
This is the reason why I came up with this Coffee Table Book as a way of expressing myself and at the same time inspiring expatriates like me to keep going, to be always positive being grateful about life.
Bisdak Ventures is the name of my group, who are expatriates hailing from the Visayas region in the Philippines.
Tweeting my reflections, insights thoughts about life in general gave me a platform to engage touch people’s lives.
With the coffee table book, I hope to motivate others to see the brighter side of life. The book is also something I can leave behind for my son to appreciate the journey we have shared together as expatriates.
Keep your family friends as your greatest treasures, they’re more important than wealth fame.


A person with a kind heart evokes beauty that is unmatched. The one whose heart is pure merits more admiration than an individual who only possesses a physical attribute that will only fade in time.


Always be humble kind no matter how successful you are. Once you fall hard, it’s not difficult to get up start all over again.


My admiration goes to people who manage to smile stand firm amidst the raging storms that try to topple them down, whose light continues to shine even if darkness tries to envelope them. That’s what true strength is all about.


If your life is centered on being satisfied happy only with the material things you possess, you don’t know what you’re missing! Life is about spending quality time with loved ones, embarking on adventure, thrills creating beautiful memories.

Cheaters never succeed in life,
always remember that.


Always take a chance, never let
any opportunity pass you by.
You’ll never know how one chance
could have turned your life around.
Be discerning, be wise.


Life is fleeting, you can never turn it back.
What was once lost is gone forever. But
nothing is ever too late. You can still start
anew to craft a beautiful ending.


We don’t need to be wealthy to be able to
give. Even a smile is a charity. As long as
it comes from the heart the intention
is pure, what little we give is more than
enough.


Act with discernment, have the understanding to choose
between right wrong, uphold the truth despise
prejudice and lies. In a world full of fallacy,
thread carefully.


Always choose what is right over what is wrong even if it
will cause discomfort inconvenience. The greatness of
man is not measured by his brilliance, wealth, or fame
but by his integrity character.
Set aside pride arrogance. Walk on this earth with your feet on the ground. We never know what tomorrow will bring. It’s better to be humble than act conceitedly later fall disgracefully.


Slowly but surely, if you persevere, you will reach your destination. Don’t wait for others to push you to work on your goals. Make that first step, work hard you will accomplish greatness you never thought you could.


Moving on may be one of the hardest things to do, but you must liberate yourself from some things that do not set you free anymore.


Even if you feel you are doing it all alone, continue being kind. Astonish the world with your gentleness compassion, infect others with it. You will never know how such simple act of caring may send a ripple effect make someone’s world lighter brighter.
One of the most courageous things to do is to let go of the things you couldn’t change. It’s the best gift you can give to yourself. It’s a liberation from all the pain unnecessary stress.


We don’t need to burn bridges just to move on. All we need to do is take a deep breath finally decide to cross over, leaving the pain behind but carrying the important lessons with us.


Look up to someone whose actions speak of integrity, honesty fairness. Actions will not lie; they manifest what’s in the mind in the heart.
Love is not temporary nor fleeting.
If it comes from the heart, it stays forever.
Mistakes are not meant to humiliate us. Humans as we are, we are not perfect. We stumble fall sometimes. Be humble to admit mistakes. When the time comes for you to become successful, arrogance will not overtake you easily.


Don’t sulk in the corner regretting what has happened. Giving unending justifications of what had transpired will not do us good. We just need to be responsible accept that some things are not meant to be. Move on, get your life back!


No relationship is ever perfect. Don’t give up just because of a few minor faults. What makes a relationship work is when two people refuse to give up on each other. That’s what true love is all about.


The most difficult journey perhaps is the journey towards discovering ourselves, but it’s the most rewarding
courageous thing to do too.


Indulge yourself in a quiet time where you hear nothing but the whisperings of your soul. Only then do we uncover a lot of things we haven’t even realized before. Such a discovery will lead us to know understand ourselves better.


Perseverance, consistency determination, all these qualities can transform the average person to become someone great excellent.
