You’re my happily ever after, I’m waiting just for you.
May fate work its magic and see us both through.
 
I’m waiting and waiting but sadly can see,
dreams may not come true for you and for me.
 
No matter what you told me, no matter what you said,
I must clear my thoughts of you and rest my weary head.
 
The days rushed by, they went so fast;
we never believed our love wouldn’t last.
We took a chance, but fate said no;
it’s not so easy to let go.
 
My tears keep flowing, I feel so sad,
remembering the happiness we once had.
There is no answer now I can see
we can’t be together, there’s no you and me.
 
It seemed so right when I first met you,
but forces around wouldn’t let it be true.
Keep thinking of times we felt so much glee,
not understanding it could never be.
 
You’re my happily ever after, I’m waiting just for you.
May fate work its magic and see us both through.
 
I’ll live out my days just waiting for you,
hoping your thoughts will be of me too.
Wherever you are, wherever you go,

I’ll close my eyes and think of you
as lovers often do.
It could be any time of day
or the nighttime too.
 
If I need a happy time
when hectic days touch me;
I think of all your gentleness
and what is meant to be.
 
Your smiling face before me,
your eyes that sparkle bright,
hold me together
when you’re out of sight.
 
I want to share each moment
no matter what the day
and share our thoughts
together in each and every way.
 
We’ll dream our dreams as one,
so full of hope and love;

and I thank the stars above.
