God is speaking to us all! Are we listening? He chooses to speak to us in various forms. In this book it is in poetic form. His message is in the poems…

Poetry is the heart singing,
it comes from deep within.
When you hear these words of love,
they really come from Him.

It is a way to tell all, He loves them.
A way to touch each and every heart.
It is a flowing of His Spirit,
like when David would play his harp.

The Righteous
There will come a time
like it was in the past,
when a question about a righteous person
most definitely will be asked.
So long ago there were many people
who turned from God and were living in sin.
Abraham called out to God who was angry,
and had a question to ask of Him.
Would God destroy this place
if fifty righteous people Abraham could find?
God would not and spare all
and this will be the sign.
Well, most know the story
for Abraham fifty he could not find,
so he asked God again and again,
until only ten was left on his mind.
My friends, today is very similar
just like it was in the past.
Wrong is becoming the right
and the righteous is hard to find if asked.
So what about you?
In which line will you be?
Is it with the many that turned from God,
or will it be with the few righteous and me?
The Lady Wept
So many years she stood on guard
her torch lit the way.
She greeted so many that freedom called,
standing true to its cause, but not today.
Today she covered her eyes,
as her silent tears fell to the ground.
Why are all the true Americans just watching
as our beloved country goes tumbling down.
Why are people kneeling down
when our National Anthem is played?
Why are so many cities disgraced,
and many saying, it’s in “justice” name?
Our beloved country is being divided
that once many, “together” lived and died to protect.
Yes, today the Statute of Liberty laid down the torch,
because of what is happening, the lady wept!
Oh God above Who loves us so,
we need a touch of Your almighty hand.
Remove the hate and bitterness all around,
and I pray, You will bless and heal our land.
The Little Things
It is the little things in life
that can make or break your day.
Maybe a smile from a stranger or friend
as you go about your way.
It could be something little
like no more toothpaste in the tube,
that will cause you frustration
and through your day adds to what bugs you.
Maybe too it could be
a kind jester that comes your way.
Like someone being courteous to you
which seems less and less these days.
Yes, it is the little things in life,
either the good or the bad,
that can make for the best
or the worse day that you had.
But please keep this in mind
if little things bring happiness or strife.
When we group them all together
it is what they call “life”!
Just Give Me Love
Take your fancy cars,
and all your fancy clothes,
just give me love
and just leave me alone.
Keep your expensive house,
and all that technology gives,
just give me love,
for that is what true life is.
Don’t look for me at party’s
or life’s big whatever.
Just give me love,
for that keeps me together.
You may say I am silly
for I am always looking above.
Well that my friends
is where I found “true love”!
We Each Have A Choice
Ever since that
our first breath is given
we are blessed with choice
and that comes straight from Heaven.
As we mature
and choose a life to live
it is up to each of us
to choose what life gives.
You may not believe as I do
and that is your God given right,
but because you don’t
doesn’t mean that you are right.
We each believe from our life experiences
and also from what we have learned.
You may see things different than I,
from what you have discerned.
So the moral of this poem
is neither has the right to judge.
Only God our Creator
from Heaven above.
Passing of Time
It seemed like only yesterday
when youth was in my grasp.
Everything was fresh and new
never thinking it would not last.
There wasn’t much I couldn’t do
for there was excitement with each breath I’d take.
My body was healthy and strong
encouraging me not to wait.
But the interesting thing of time,
it seems to pass when we are not aware.
Then one day we stop and look
we see very little of it now there.
Yep, if very fortunate
we can smile when we realize we are old.
See, for many there days were fewer
less memories to behold.
So here’s to you, “Passing of Time”,
though it seemed so swift to me.
I will always be young in my heart
yep, that’s what is left now you see!
I’m Doing Fine
Many a days I am asked,
“How are you doing today?”
I look and smile, “I’m doing fine,
what about you?”, is what I say.
But to be honest somedays
I am not the smiley person that you see.
Still I always answer the same,
“I’m doing fine”, why? because that is me.
I realize other people have problems,
not all their hairs are in place.
