In the old house across the bay,
A family of dragons had come to stay.
They had skin of green scales,
And for hands they had claws.
They wore long, black-hooded macs
That fell to the floor.
The dragons wore boots and gloves
To hide their big claws.
Some lady dragons wore curly wigs
To hide their big jaws.
The male dragons wore fake beards
And a hat in cold weather.
On a nice sunny day,
Lady dragons wore a hat with a feather.
The dragons kept their distance,
Not letting the villagers get too near,
Not letting them see their dragon selves,
So the villagers would have no fear.
One look at their bodies,
The villagers would take fright.
If they saw their sharp teeth,
They would all take flight.
So their long, black-hooded gowns,
That was their disguise
So that none of the villagers
Would have a nasty surprise.
Inside their house
They dug a cave underground
And only came outside
When there was nobody around.
