Introduction
Nobody even mentions the first shoe, the first shoe is relegated to the lowly status of a given in a geometry problems, taken for granted. Its always The Other Shoe that gets all the press. The god damn other shoe, this book is a perfect example of the injustice endured by the first shoe. Just look at the title. It's outrageous. Damn outrageous. The first shoe needs a new PR guy.
At Last
Gave this some serious
consideration,
not thought, and came
to the conclusion
that I am not a poem
type writer,
as I have led myself
and others to believe
for over half a century
but I am a life long
class clown that went
round the bend into the
land of the village idiot.
and that makes me
happier
than a pig rolling in shit.
Intimately Challenged
Sex is not love
no shit
playacting love
maybe
when coupled
with love
it is this side
just this side of heaven
total trust coupled
with total vulnerability
for complete
and total intimacy
no sex is not love
by a long shot
but has the potential
for so much more
than simple
nameless orgasm

or maybe Wednesday
just before lunch
well anyway
the game was over
at some point
or other and no one
seems to remember
who won or who lost
or if it
went into overtime
or ended in a tie
and oh, I wanted to
ask you
are we going to the
next game
last Friday or not.
