Description

Told via the medium of verse and poetic prose, Writing in the Shower is a journey into human emotion, ranging from the admiration of nature to the heartbreak of death.
A collection of stories and poems filled with vivid memories, halfway between verse and prose. The words are honest, sensitive, and profound, but also sometimes humorous, sometimes deep. The style is lyrical and deceptively simple.
This evocative collection is filled with colorful images and description. See and hear the bees and hummingbirds in such poems as “My Little Monet’s Garden”
I sat on the bench underneath the spider web.
It floated over my head like a veil.
A trio of hummingbirds, a buzzing of bees
musically danced, sucking their honey all around me.
They stayed, hovered, and hummed their own song.
I sat wrapped in silence
until a thought of how to
put this into words
broke the spell—
and they flew away.
Find the beauty and joy as you walk the poet’s path to truth and enlightenment.

I step into the shower.
The warm water embraces and caresses me.
For a moment,
Thought is suspended,
Then it is rearranged in order of priorities.
The agenda is set,
And off into the day I go.
“Paradise must always be recreated
It lingers under the appearance.
Everything holds within itself, as potentiality
The intimate harmony of its existence—
Everything strives toward its lost form.”

Writing In The Car (while driving)
A good and bad idea
Good for a good story
Bad for the fact you may not make it to where you are going-
Lucky you haven’t hit something or someone-
Lucky a DMV inspector isn’t sitting next to you-
Or you’ve been seen by a policeman-
-doing everything you can to remember without writing anything down—using your phone to record if you can stop at a stoplight—looking for a place to pull over and find a pencil-
