Description

Ecclesiastes says: “To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.”
After seasons of disappointments, setbacks, and discouragements, author Sarah Jane Mackey’s season suddenly changed. She came to her senses. After seasons of ignorance and losing battles, she found faith, courage, and strength. She found purpose. She finally understood her rights and her inheritance.
In Take Him to Court, she shares her real-life drama of her struggle to gain control of her inheritance and the legal rights to her blessings. For years, she fell prey to the dominant voices in her head. Set against the backdrop of a fictional court case and trial, Mackey tells of her battle against the devil and evil and God as Judge.
Follow Mackey as she takes her case to the highest court to get justice and answered prayers.

To my son Sidney Andrew Mackey: this one is for you. We had to take him to Court. Refusing to listen to the voice of that liar, we presented our case before the Righteous Judge, and He gave us total victory!
This one is for you who have lost everything, even your faith; you who think you can’t break that bad habit, always falling short; you who have wandered far away from God, finding it so hard to come back to Him; you whose dreams have been squashed; you who have lost all hope because “someone” sold you a lie; and you who are experiencing disappointment after disappointment, discouragement, despair, doubt, defeat! I dedicate this book to you.
To believers everywhere: someone has stolen your authority in God, and you are having a hard time exercising complete trust in Him. Voices of “I can’t …” and “I don’t …” and “The doctor said …” and “My friend said …” and “My lawyer said …” and “People say …” are constantly dominating you. Wake up! You are being negatively influenced by the lies, half-truths, and misconceptions of the enemy. Someone is squatting on your land and living there for free, robbing you of everything that God has already given to you. I dedicate this book to you.
This is your season to “take him to Court” and take back everything he has stolen from you.

About The Author

Author’s Note
I was admonished to study the first five books of the Bible. By studying these books, I reacquainted myself with God’s teachings and instructions (613 laws of God, habits that govern us). It became clear to me I was not truly following the Lord as I should; I was quoting scriptures (talking) rather than applying them to my daily life (walking). So, I repented! I changed my mindset.
Lack of knowledge (ignorance) will keep us in bondage; disobedience and rebelliousness will keep us from our blessings and inheritance. Are you going to just sit down and do nothing? It is time to get up and F-I-G-H-T! Fight for your birthright!
Remember: faith gives you the birthright (access), but obedience brings the blessings! Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
We have been given authority on the earth; let us use our God-given authority (Luke 10:19)!
Be courageous! Take Him to Court!

Acknowledgments
To my Heavenly Father: I thank You for the knowledge gained, the understanding received, and the wisdom applied, giving me strength, boldness, and courage to stand up and fight!
To my many friends, family members, encouragers, advisors, and counselors: your collective contributions made this book possible.
Thank you, Dr. Cindy Wade (history teacher), and Ms. Donnica Dunkley (language arts teacher), for the many hours you spent editing, but apart from that, for taking the time to encourage and motivate me. I appreciate all that you have done.
Thank you, Ms. Donnica Dunkley, though you were sick and at your weakest, you were strong. Thank you for your courage; it is a testament to your character.
To my husband, Sidney: I am so grateful for your love and support. Thank you for believing in me.
To my daughter, Sara-Ashley: I went to Court many days for you. I demanded my right!
To my sons Sharif, Shaquille, Sidney Jr., and Sharad: You are my righteous seeds - the fruit of my womb that was promised blessings. The Righteous Judge understood that I knew my rights! Walk in the blessings that God has promised you. Look neither to the right nor to the left.
To my grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren: I have already gone to Court for you; you have a Godly inheritance. This victory is for you!
To Bishop Harvey Cash: thank you for your encouragements. They were right on time and right on point.
To Dr. Maxine Evans, my sister: your counsels were wise, your rebukes were very sharp, and your encouragement was motivating. The fact that you fought alongside me—making sure I had the right scriptures, the right tone, the right feel—made this book so incredibly special. You have inspired me!
To Ursula Mackey, Yolanda Miller, Elouise McKenzie, Talitha Clarke, Tharan Brice, Kim Deveaux, Linda McDonald, Elizabeth Mills, and Deborah Gilbert: your struggles are and were real, but you represent the Kingdom well. Thank you for sharing and being there for me.
Shaquille, Sidney, Sara, Sharad, and Tonyque all can testify about the many struggles they faced. They are witnesses brave enough to take him to Court and demand their things.

I Had Enough!
“Lord, I can’t take this no more! I’m sick and tired of all dis turning around and around and around! I’m sick and tired of hearing, ‘No! No! No! No! No!’”
It was 6:30 a.m., the morning of September 13, 2012. The sky was draped in a gray-orange outfit, as were the clouds—all different shapes and sizes displaying the beautiful, early-morning color of the sun that had just risen.
I, on the other hand, was wearing garments of disappointments and rejections; my clothing was the color of defeat and discouragement.
