Our Immortal Soul
The question is asked, why does God permit the atrocious behavior of humans that inflict unspeakable horror on their fellow beings? The offenders and victims are recipients of God’s love, and mercy. It’s the law of karma. Those that fail to take advantage have doomed themselves to a cleansing of fire and brimstone in the abyss, ruled by Satan.
A soul marred with sin cannot reside in the kingdom of God.
Be joyful as you have God’s love, which is boundless.
R. P. Boyd
Prologue
Kemp’s Rise to Power ???
The question is asked down through the ages by those that possess an inquisitive mind: How can it be that the tyrants of the world as individuals amass an assembly of followers to embrace their quest for world domination? They espouse that their rule shall endure a thousand years. That in itself is a fallacy. Nevertheless, the would-be dictators persist in their efforts to conquer the world. The answer to the above question is, they all have made a pact with Satan, and his promise to grant them his protection as they fulfill what they believe to be their destiny. In return, all the would-be conquerors, and many others, are not as ambitious; they are content with wealth, and political power. All forfeit their souls, not realizing until they have taken their last breath that their pact was with the father of lies. Many accounts have been written of such lost souls, more than I could mention in the following narrative. I bring to light one such person, and unknown to him, the six disciples assigned to him by Satan eventually shall lead to self-destruction.
The names of Kemp’s followers shall fade into oblivion, while their souls curse and blame Satan for not revealing the price of their acceptance: the fires of hell, and brimstone. None had realized what they had been granted on earth was only a microsecond, compared to an eternal damnation. Such is, and has been, the price for all that lust for world dominance.
Two thousand-plus years ago, the tempter promised to give dominion of the world to a man without prestige or rank, to simply bow down before him. The offer was repudiated with scorn, and a reprimand (Mark 1:13), thus, as a result, the birth of Christianity.
Chapter 1
Acceptance
“You aren’t the first I have dispensed my favor to,” said the bearded man cloaked in black, in a tone of voice that was calm and reassuring. “I only ask that we execute the standard agreement.” As he waited for a reply, a ten-inch-long cigar appeared magically in his right hand. He lit it as a small black flame ignited from the tip of his finger of his left hand. He effortlessly inhaled, and exhaled a dense cloud of smoke that was stifling, and intoxicating the 10’ × 15’ windowless room containing a desk and two chairs, only one of the four walls laden with bookshelves. There were two hundred and fifty books, arranged in alphabetical order. A hundred and fifty of them bore titles of the occult; the others were pornographic.
“I agree” was the tearful reply. “But please, I’m having difficulty breathing.” The smoke evaporated instantly. Twenty-two-year-old Herman Kemp was handed a quill pen within a minute of having read the parchment the agreement had been written on. It simply stated, “I, Herman Kemp, forty years from this day, shall surrender my being to my prince, for having received forty years of success.”
“Your three sons you shall sire seventeen years from this day. The third son you shall offer as a blood sacrifice on his seventh birthday. The other two sons shall obtain power of the highest position in government. Their being shall be surrendered to me at my discretion.”
Herman Kemp signed without objection. Kemp attempted to see the face of his benefactor. The 100-watt bulb normally sufficient to light the room only flickered, casting ominous shadows on the face whom Kemp now knew to be Satan himself. A claw hand reached for the parchment that was wet with the signature of Herman Kemp, in black blood. The flickering light bulb darkened for a moment, and then there was light.
Kemp was alone, except for the stench as a reminder of who had been there. Kemp arose slowly from his desk. There was a chill in the room that caused his 6’ partially naked body to shiver, wearing only black panties. He hurriedly clothed himself. Kemp was elated with the knowledge that his mediocre real estate business would soon thrive.
“That’s impossible,” he said aloud as he looked intently at the grandfather clock in the far corner of the room. As he saw the hands of the clock pointed to one minute past midnight, “How can that be?” he stammered as he recalled that it was at exactly at midnight when he completed the ritual to summon the prince of darkness. In the year 1929, forty years seemed an eternity before the expiration of his contract. Even so, Kemp reasoned that at the expiration, he could negotiate for additional time on the basis that he would still be in the prime of life, and able to serve his benefactor, along with his sons.
Kemp also was a member of the Ku Klux Klan. He couldn’t afford to be associated with the Klan, with his plan to rise in the world of high finance. It would stain his reputation and reflect to some degree onto his sons. Kemp convinced the ranking member that he could no longer participate in any future marches of protest, because of medical advice from his doctor, a heart specialist. He was also mindful of the fact, as he was exceptionally frugal, he was no longer obligated to contribute to the cause of the KKK. Furthermore, the Klan was becoming obsessed in their defiance against the local authority, to march peacefully. No longer would he be clubbed and arrested. Now with no further fear from that quarter, he could try to convince his cousin to give him a loan. She had inherited the sum of ten thousand, her share from her late father’s estate. Twenty-four-year-old Anna Wolbert agreed to loan him the money. Kemp was taken aback as she dictated her terms: first he take her to be his wife, second she be a partner in his business.
The wedding was held on March 14, 1929, at the Presbyterian Church on Park Avenue. Anna agreed with him to forgo a reception. Then they were off to a two-day honeymoon in Atlantic City.
Anna was not impressed with the nine-room house in Queens. Two of the rooms Kemp used as his office. His long-range plan hadn’t included Anna; his intent had been to divorce her within the next six months. But he was forced to alter his plan, due to the fact he had amassed a hundred and ten properties.
The 5’7”-tall Anna, blue-eyed, with blonde hair, a masculine jawline, was a formidable woman. Her assistance proved invaluable.
The majority of the properties Kemp purchased were in default of taxes; he paid in pennies on the dollar. The great recession was a financial windfall. Anna suggested that the locked room be used to place the filing cabinets. “Or shall we get an office?”
Kemp replied that he would think about it. The following morning, an hour before he awakened, Anna removed from the dresser top his key chain; she then went and unlocked the door. The stench was unbearable. Anna was certain had she stepped in, she would have suffocated and died. There was not a doubt in her mind that the stench was from hell. Had Anna entered and seen the collection of books of the occult? She hurried back to the bedroom. “What have you done?” Kemp demanded.
As Anna entered, visibly shaken, she answered, “The devil is in that room.”
Kemp knew that Anna was correct, and he was certain she would want the room exorcised. He pretended he was unaware of the odor. Saying that a rodent might have gotten in and died, Kemp assured her he would have the room fumigated by noon.
Anna countered, saying that wouldn’t suffice. She insisted that he go back with her to the room.
